Indeed, 80 mph is quite the pace! However, the speed limit markers in Jamaica are in kmph. 80 kmph is only about 50 in mph. We call it bathing suit answering suits in America. When I was a small child going to Jamaica they war t-shirts and shorts😂😂 and after a while they called it BATH SUIT (baat suit) not swimsuits but the tourists brought swimsuit idea there many years back😅
It's interesting to note how cultural exchanges influence language and terminology over time. Yes indeed, the term "BATH SUIT" or as you call it, "baat suit," is widely used in Jamaica. We call it bathing suit answering suits in America. When I was a small child going to Jamaica they war t-shirts and shorts😂😂 and after a while they called it BATH SUIT (baat suit) not swimsuits but the tourists brought swimsuit idea there many years back😅
It's interesting to note how cultural exchanges influence language and terminology over time. Yes indeed, the term "BATH SUIT" or as you call it, "baat suit," is widely used in Jamaica. So even the GPS is controlled by America?😂 I hear the voice with the accent that's funny, I saw each country has their own dialect on the GPS but I guess maybe because America created it, not sure. Thank you so much for the video a little bit of everything.
It's true, most GPS systems do use an American accent by default, but they also offer different dialect options for personalization! Loved this. Enjoyed the ride. Best to use a debit card with PayPal. There is a $10-$12 fee with credit cards. Would be nice to name some streets as there are so many changes in Kingston.
