  • I wanted to dress up the sheaths of my mora and hultafors knives… so in this video I create a paracord sheath, or paracord wrap, for each to them.
    The cord lock at the end is something that I saw Simon do on Packed to Live. Check out his channel.

    Looks like what you are making is a series of Cow Hitch knots.

    Well presented video, great idea wrapping 550 paracord around the sheathes and the way you wrapped it, Great work!

    Very interesting video mate :-) I'll have to give this a go. I'm pleased to see someone showing the Hultafors knives as well as Moras - I believe they are AT LEAST as good as Moras and, in the UK, only half the price :-)

      thanks for watching Jim... I really like the Hultafors; it's comfortable in the hand and easy to control. I haven't used the Mora much though, so I can't compare yet.

    Nice practical sheath. Now my mind is thinking what other gear can I cover with paracord using this simple technique.

    Can you show me how you finished it off. I did what you did but I don't know how you tied it off

    • @wattshappenin
      @wattshappenin  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jordy Montes thanks for watching... sorry about not showing how to finish the wrap.... I will try to get a video up in the next few days. it is pretty easy though... just snip off the excess paracord and then use a match or lighter to melt the cord a bit and then - using a knife or edge of lighter - flatten the melted end into the surrounding cord. sorry about that jordy... EveryDay Knife Guy is where I get lots of my paracord ideas, so check him out too. atb, luke.

    • @wattshappenin
      @wattshappenin  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the same way you close off most paracord weaving, melt and press. Sorry brother.
