I'm sorry to hear about this recent case on Ciera. Sigh... Unfortunately, there's so many cases similar to hers. We really have to watch out for the red flags, no matter how small. Ciera might've noticed the glaring red flags, 4-5 mths into the relationship. But I'm gonna assume, there were small flags in the beginning as well - that went ignored. And if her parents thought, "He may have been keeping her in a paranoid state to control her & manipulate her", oh dear, this is such a red flag - immediate action should've been taken. I know, easier said than done, since Ciera was an adult. Men can be victims as well. So, beware everybody. There's a great book on this, called The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker. On a side note, emasmr can you cover Alex Skeel ? A guy who survived a toxic relationship.
I know so so sad, they mentioned a lot about battered syndrome. That is a great read! And I would love to do that case, shredding light on men’s experience with DV is important. thank you for the suggestion
