Games like that were the perfect change of pace. We need more stuff like that. Bust a move ( groove), Who can stop Mr Domino, Parapa the Raper, Jet Grind Radio( set) .

When I first played Killswitch (and Winback), I didn't know how much they would influence all third-person shooters during the 360 era.
Way before Gears of War. The game kicks ass.

Love seeing Drakan on the list. One of my favorite PS2 games. I always mention it as a PS2 hidden gem, along with Dog's Life and Downhill Domination.

all those games are great. always shocked that Drakan: The Ancients' Gates, needed a whole memory card to save.
Mr. Mosquito was my first game on the PS2, and this brought back many memories. I'll check it out again for sure!

Genuinely surprised it didn’t do well. The combat system alone is incredible, especially the way you can essentially mix and match all the moves like.

I spent a lot of time on Darkwatch. Gets really good as you keep progressing with tough enemies, some cool level designs and awesome weapons.
A good FPS set in gothic Western
2 of these are legitimate hidden gems. Haunting Grounds and Mr. Mosquito.
Haunting ground was my best experience on ps2. Totally a hidden game !

@@craiganderson7986 Nightshade's design is very uninspired to me, but it's improved a lot while maintain what made the prequel special. It's definitely the better of the games, and it can be brutal for those who are used to the hack n slash of its time.
I wish Sega market the game better. I blindly bought this game not even aware that it was the sequel, and I absolutely love shinobi(ps2) lol

Mr. Mosquito is so unknown I bought it for $2 at gamestop like 10 years ago. Goes for over $60 used on Ebay now
Samurai Western is a hidden gem too.
Urban Reign is a classic. Was one of my favorite games on PS2

One of my go to Hinton Jim’s for the PlayStation two is zone of the enders one and two. You can either pick up one and two as an HD PS3 port or if you want to play on the PlayStation for you can play zone of the enders 2 Mars Addition It’s got enhanced graphics and also you can play it with the PlayStation VR as well.

I know there were a TON of great PS2 games but Kill.Switch was so much fun. idk about Alien Hominid being on this list though. maybe the youngsters weren't around but if I recall correctly that game got a ton of praise and love when it came out.

I remember looking at my game manuals so much as a kid, and at the end of the booklet they'd always advertise other games. Darkwatch was on Resident Evil 4's and I always thought it looked interesting but never actually played or even watched it. Odd to see it again after all these years.
A few more that I would recommend is Monster Attack, Primal and Ghosthunter.

I'm going to take a guess before watching the video that Urban Chaos is not included. If it is I commend you for including it since many top hidden gems lists rarely do. It is in my opinion one of the best 1st person shooters of that generation but sadly many people overlook it.
Mister Mosquito - Even better, if you wanted a break, there's a hidden bicycle-themed sumo game which also took advantage of the rotating analog controllers on the disk with one analog stick controlling the direction, while the other was your "pedals." But, back to the main game, there were hidden jars to unlock the best ending (which I never got, sadly) and you could revisit levels to fill up the jars. However there were 3 jars in the final level and filling up any jar beyond what was needed for the level would be far riskier than the ones you needed for the level. This meant ideally that you would fill up one of the last jars per target on the last level, but since you could only save between levels, the last level resulted in me being slapped enough times I settled for the basic ending. Also, initiating combat with the people and hitting their calm spots in under a certain time limit unlocked new skins for the player.

Robot Alchemy Drive and Haunting Ground are 2 of these hidden gems of PS2 what need remastering and sequel, because they are SUPER COOL!
I was never a fan of run and hide games...but the jiggle physx in haunting grounds is making me reconsider...
Now R.A.D THAT...is a true hidden gem...but it was the abysmal on foot missions that killed it's momentum...
WARNING: Drakan needs an entire 15 blocks memory card! Excellent game btw!

Darkwatch looks like a game from PS3/Xbox 360 that no one has ever heard of.
It looks very good, considering the hardware.
Robot Alchemic drive looks interesting.
Drakan reminds me of something you would get on PC back in the day.
There are so many games on the system, and there's always something you've never heard of before.
This system has a huge amount of hidden gems: Battle Engine Aquila, Dead to Rights, Rune, Jurassic Park Operation Genesis...

These are great games, most of them fighting and shooting games. One of the best games in my opinion is a dungeon crawler/fighting game called Champions of Norrath! I've spent hours on this game and never get bored of it.
Never heard of that one, I’ll have to check it out!

🦟Finally but the bullet and bought played through Mister Mosquito $ in October. It's one of my fav games ever. I wish we got The sequel to Mister mosquito: Let's go Hawaii and Seaman 2 for ps2 localized outside of japan.

god hand is still my favourite, i beated hard mode 78 times and still playing on pcsx2 :)

Damm i remember play alot of good old gems gane like run like hell but didn't any chance play some other hidden gems game, probaly the last hidden gems gane i used to play although i forgot the bame of the game is that one street fight open world game where you fight gangs and some character also will fight zombie looking enemy later in late game, as i remember we got introduce these glowing green eyes and body Zombie like enemy is at A hotel after you reach floor 25 i think, man it was good old game.
How about Disaster Report, Metal Saga, and Dark Souls’ granddaddy, King’s Field: The Ancient City. Let’s die a lot!

I got the Bouncer, Simpsons Road Rage, and Code Vernonia X for peanuts at a local charity shop about a year back, all mint. Also bought a Wii console with a wii motion plus controller and official GameCube controller for £20 ( $27)
It was one of the best and only charity shops in my area for deals until more people started realising they had a lot of good deals and the management changed. Now it's just not as good and they're charging standard Ebay prices.
Me and my friend got to go out in the store room to look at items no one else had access to. If you can, try and get in their store rooms. You can often get amazing deals because they just want to get rid of stuff. The guy that let us in got scolded by upper management. Karens ruining everything, as usual. They were fucking pissed that we were in there because they knew we were after deals.

Kill switch is an amazing action shooter, but it's almost unplayable on the PS2 controller. If you want to give it a try, play it on PC.
