Great video! One detail note: the west colonnade had not been entirely demolished when the greenhouses were built. When Theodore Roosevelt had the greenhouses removed, much of the original Jefferson-era west colonnade reappeared, and served as a model for the reconstruction of the colonnades on both sides. Thanks for such a great job!
Thanks for this video . I had the opportunity to visit Washington DC two times but I didn’t go inside the White House. I love the Architecture. Thank you so much ♥️
This was an outstanding video! Really enjoyed the constant animation throughout. I learned some things from this video that I did not know about the White House. Well done, my friend!
The White House is always a thrill to visit. I’ve had the privilege of visiting it 8 times. When you stand on Pennsylvania Ave facing the mansion, it seems like a vast home, but I’ve found if you stand in the center of the cross hall, look from side to side, you can see the exterior walls East to West. It makes it seem like a much more intimate space. Either way, the “people’s house” is a home all Americans should be proud of. The one time of year I’ve always wanted to visit is the week between Christmas and New Years. It is the only time the house is open in the evening to the general public, it sparkles beautifully with all the Christmas decorations, and all the candles are lit. If anyone is vacationing in Washington, it’s well worth the stop, but it’s better to plan ahead for a congressional tour arranged through your congressman. Once when on a vacation with my inlaws, my mother in law told me while she was sitting at the dressing table in her room getting ready for dinner, she looked in the mirror and thought “I went to the White House today!” For first timers, it’s a surreal moment.
Hello, I can take it into consideration. In any case, you can see the places that I have already realized on the Arquicultura channel in Spanish youtube.com/@ArquiCultura

It needs to be replaced. Build something new and much much prettier and turn this building into a museum. It is totally outdated. The main house is just too small for events and dinners.
I’ve been in a bunch of those rooms, including the Oval Office, basement kitchens, theater, west wind, First Ladies reception room and diplomatic reception room as well as all the first floor rooms. Two private tours, one during Clinton, and one during Obama. I have a picture with Buddy, Clinton’s dog. And we saw Obama leave in marine one. I hope they had it deep cleaned after the four years of orange filth was booted out.

Estoy intentándolo, es difícil
God I love architecture.
Volume too low, ads and other channels much louder. Looked interesting too.

neoclassic and greek revival are running together for me
that's right, apparently they are almost the same, but the difference is the context of each one.

Although a bigger palace is a good idea. the white house is too iconic to be replaced
The history cannot be replaced
I did not say tear it down...turn it into a museum. Then build s house much much prettier@@whatthefrickbro
No you are Wong
@@Jadenrobinson-gq3fz The building is boring
Amazing that I learned more about the White House than I ever knew from someone with a foreign accent! What's wrong with this picture?!
thank you 😀, What do you mean by "What's wrong with this picture?!"?
Does it come with a complimentary baggie of cocaine?
You mean the crack house

The oval office is not inside the white house!!!!
It is a common misconception that the oval office is inside the main building.
