    Good sermon. But there is so much more to this text if you realize that the sinner is Mary of Bethany. Slipshod exegesis is the problem. In John 11:2 the apostle pinpoints that Luke's version in chapter 7 is dealing with Mary of Bethany. He will only refer to a detail that is exclusively Lukan.
