- "We are not told to know God - but to love Him. I had a very good but rather stern father. He wasn't the nice, cuddly sort I could be close to. I often felt I disappointed him, was afraid of his disapproval and wasn't sure he loved me, so how could I possibly love God as a father figure? Since father died, I feel closer to him than I've ever been. I do believe in the saying, 'Tears wash the soul'."

Im not even Christians but ive been enjoying John Butler in those last 2 years the way he talk and the way he made you understand his idea is unbelievable ! Love you John Butler
He uses christianity in a very spiritual way, not dogmatic (at least from what i've seen)

My mother was the only one to understand me and she passed away years ago. My father is dead to me and I to him. My circle is small but tight. Unless fathers are prevailed upon inappropriately, children should be left to their own devices. It's a bad feeling to lose someone who never wanted you around...but one gets over this considering death is the only liberator. I hope my batteries run down soon and I can finally go to sleep and not wake up.
