I am an old school shortwave listener I would be looking at something with a band spreader and full function ShortWave features. But it needs to be a quality receiver not one made to sell for low dollar cheap . AM , FM from the Am band to a minimum of 30 Mega Hz. A battery pack is good but swapable 1 would be thinking 100 hours of battery life from some brand name power tool.
Some kind of tuff box case Milwaukee has or had a job site radio the radio could be a two gang chargers. And be able to take power from a solar panel.

I enjoyed your reviews. Though some might think I have too many radios, I enjoy them all. My emergency radio is a Sangean MMR 88 . I like the stability of it and take it on my fishing boat most of the time. That MMR 99 sure looks nice! I like all three of these, but am just not a fan of analog models. Liked and subbed.

The KA900 is out now! 😮 It's better 2000 mAh lilon and all LCD screen and MP3 player up to 32 gig micro SD and input jack from other audio source. but still didn't see water proofing. It's $99.

If we have an EMP which radio will not be effected? I’m also looking for “walkie-talkie” but not the kid stuff. My brother lives 11-12 miles from me and I want to be able to get him if I need him. Please help me. I’m disabled and not rich but still need a way.
