Had my 21 Tri Glide Ultra Classic out in the snow in my area. My wife said are all you Harley riders nuts. I said yes dear.
Yep, it is a little crazy, but worth it! 😂
👍😎 KP
Yes dear!
Saw a couple of small fishtails. Man no matter how old we are we still are crazy adventurous kids. Hey Kevin you blew right past the "Chains Required " sign. 😎 Stay safe!
Yeah, power slides and drifting are a ton of fun! Some adults have had all the kid squeezed out of them...I think Harley Riders, in general, still have more kid in them than the general population.
Chains required....lol...fortunately we don't have those in these parts.
Thanks, you too!!
👍😎 KP
Okay, you are certifiable Krazy!
But oh, what fun! Five minutes of fun, two hours of cleaning...
It is a little crazy, but worth it!
👍😎 KP
Thats another Dk Custom tip for keeping your ride cool!!!😂 That's crazy awesome!!! Love it!
Lotta fun for sure!
👍😎 KP
Hell Yeah! I gotta get me a trike.
They are there own kind of fun!
👍😎 KP
Wouldn't dare ride the Road King up here!😂. As soon as freezing temps and snow show up they're dumping salt everywhere.
Metro Detroit is sooooo salty. I won't ride until all the salt is gone off the roads
Yep, they started using chemical/salt a few years ago here...only on the main roads. That is one of the reasons I stick close to home on country roads the last few years when it snows.
👍😎 KP
5:16 lmao I thought I was the only one who played in the snow I just walked in from a 75 mile ride in the snow in northern az we use cinders no salt
Good deal on the cinders...they used to use only sand here.
Enjoy!
👍😎 KP
Glad ya got out -
✊🏻👌👍
Me too!
👍😎 KP
Snowed down here in SW Louisiana , thought about pulling out the trike, but got over it. Looked like a good time!
Yeah, I hear you. This year may have been my last. It's a blast, but it's cold, and not fun to clean up afterwards. lol
👍😎 KP
Wow you guys got some snow . No I have never ridden a two wheeler or three wheeler in the snow. But driven a two wheel dirt bike in mud that was fun as a young teenager. But it look like you had fun. Enjoy life👍
Mud can be fun on a dirt bike. Not so much on most OEM Harley's.
Yep, a lot of fun!
👍😎 KP
Looks like a lot of fun with no harmful road salt on the road to cause rust. Ride Safe !
It was a blast! ❄️😎 KP
That looks fun Kevin.
I think I should do that to get some wind on my face.
Snow is fine, with some caution, and an eye out for the cagers. But if you looked at some of the other videos, linked in the description, stay away from the ice...totally unmanageable.
👍😎 KP
Looks like a lotta fun on that 3 wheeler ! I might be missing out on something
It is fun for sure!
👍😎 KP
Looked like fun.
Yep, it was! 👍😎 KP
Unfortunately where I am, when snow comes, salt follows shortly after.
Yeah, they started using chemical/salt a few years ago here...only on the main roads. That is one of the reasons I stick close to home on country roads the last few years when it snows.
👍😎 KP
When I was young, I use to ride a two wheel motorcycle in the snow, but it was a dirt bike. Not daring enough to do it with a 900lb touring.
I hear ya!
👍😎 KP
You should have rode to Hickory Flat. 😂. Yes I have ridden a 2 wheeler in the snow. Heritage softail in West Virginia. Everyone kept saying “you should have been here last week “it was 65 and sunny!
Nope, they are using chemicals and salt on the road between her and HF.
Never even tried riding a 2 wheel HD in the snow. You're much braver than me!
👍😎 KP
Buddy & I rode in snow a few times living in Colorado. Both of us had Heritage Softtails. They were butt-tight rides for sure. Now, I usually do a New Years ride in the Black Hills. Only thing that prevents it is ice. I'm smarter now at 70.
Wow! I am not up for riding a 2 wheel Harley in the snow! Even if I would have considered it in my younger years, I'm with you, never on ice!
👍😎 KP
Well was very interesting to watch I live in central Florida so I’d never ride in the snow it gets below 50 I don’t ride lol
Yeah, gotta have lots of layers or heated gear when it gets cold...even then, it is still not as comfortable as warmer temps!
👍😎 KP
Quick before the salt spreader comes along
they started using chemical/salt a few years ago here...only on the main roads. That is one of the reasons I stick close to home on country roads the last few years when it snows.
👍😎 KP
My old Honda 200x , anytime. With a nice Harley trike, no thanks.
Cool!
👍😎 KP
Nice! Hopefully you folks don't use road salt lol...
Yeah, they started using chemical/salt a few years ago here...only on the main roads. That is one of the reasons I stick close to home on country roads the last few years when it snows.
👍😎 KP
Two more advantages of a Trike: 1. It doesn't fall over in snow. 2. It has reverse!
Yep & Yep!
👍😎 KP
The ONLY way a HD trike will drift.
I have been able to drift quite nicely w/ the TG on wet or sandy cement and asphalt. Of course, on dirt roads it is quite easy also.
👍😎 KP
no salt on the road thats ok
Yeah, they started using chemical/salt a few years ago here...only on the main roads. That is one of the reasons I stick close to home on country roads the last few years when it snows.
👍😎 KP
Trike vs sidecar…. Seems like a lot of advantages with a trike.
Trike would definitely be better in the snow, but here in Ohio they use salt, so I won’t ride in the winter anyway.
Yeah, the salt is a bummer.
They didn't use to use salt here, and I could ride anywhere...like to the shop and back in this video- th-cam.com/video/UeOe3xj5dYM/w-d-xo.html
BUT, they started using chemical/salt a few years ago here...only on the main roads. That is one of the reasons I stick close to home on country roads the last few years when it snows.
👍😎 KP
Ride a bike, Drive a trike. And you seem to have both legs.
Interesting perspective.
👍😎 KP
So, How are all those mods working that make it run cooler?🤣🤣🤣
Only thing I did not use was the fans.
👍😎 KP
Wouldn't want to be the one to clean the under carriage
Not really anything to clean. Frozen water melts. Here is a photo of the TG that was taken today. Absolutely nothing was done to it since the ride in the snow, except it was ridden another 100+ miles.
www.dkcustomproducts.com/pub/image/2025-_Day_In_The_Life/TG%20in%20Car%20port.jpg
It was clean snow, no salt or chemicals on the road.
👍😎 KP
You forgot your glasses. My eyes would be watering so bad
lol, I think it was too cold for my eyes to water. haha
👍😎 KP
Like a barrel of monkeys 😅🎉😂
Yep!
👍😎 KP
I considered doing the same thing, but the amount of salt on the roads prevented me from doing it.
Yeah, salt is a bummer. Fortunately they do not spread on the back roads in our area.
