Thanks for your video, If we have 4 range value of GR and will be define the lithology, what the function we should write?

Tnks for video... Why .0 .1 for Arg SS and .2.Facies for clay? Dont understand

U need to define Facies as Codes 1,2,3,... etc based on number of facies u have extracted from Core log... Then Petrel will identify which facies to be in certain interval based on If condition equation u input

Thanks a lot. Your videos are helpful. Can you make a video on how to make a thickness map from well log data?

Dear friend, Thanks for your useful videos. I have a question: How can I map the average percentage of for example dolomite in a zone from a fractioanal evaluation log.
    Thanks

      Hi Mohammad,
sorry for delay. you can follow these steps:
1- Create Continuous attribute by going to ( Well Tops > Right Click> Insert New Attribute> Continuous > Ok)
2- in the open window go to (Attributes operations > tick “To the zone at level 1” > choose the log of which the average fraction of dolomite, for example, you want to map.
3- Make sure that you selected the layer of which dolomite fraction you want to map and that’s by selecting the layer top under well tops (for example Top Brent). Do not forget to shut down the other well tops otherwise, PETREL will calculate average fraction for dolomite through whole reservoir interval
4- Activate the two buttons next to “Run”. These buttons tell PETREL to apply the calculation process-using filter done on well tops (which means PETREL will calculate average fraction for dolomite in the layer / well top that you specified only. This step is very important***
      5- Hit “Run”
6- New attribute will show under well tops named “Continuous” change the name to ….for example (Dolomite Fraction-Layer1)
7- Go to “Make Edit Surface”. Drag Well Tops into the Main Input cell and select attribute (Dolomite Fraction-Layer1)
8- Drag the Boundary of your reservoir into Boundary cell
9- Under “Grid Size and Position tick “Automatic From Input Data”
10- Go to Algorithm tab > and choose interpolation method as “Convergent”
11- Go to “Suggested Settings From Input” choose (Well tops /points -low density)
12- Make name for the new surface…. The same as attribute (Dolomite Fraction-Layer1)
      13- Hit Ok/Apply
14- Open 3D window and display the map generated in Input Pane.
