As a fan of W-inds since their launch album (That I had imported the moment it hit ebay in 2001) Keita's vocals have changed a total of 13 times as he adapted to the vocal changes due to aging. Plus, Keita and Ryuichi are the same age as I am with me only 4 days older than they are so to say I grew up with their music is a huge understatement. Try listening to their other songs and you will see the beauty in his voice. Ryuichi is gone now, but Ryohei has stepped up with Keita so they both sing together now instead of Ryohei being mostly a backup dancer.

Dudes got a high voice- this is a rarity, and a great talent. Saw this after rewatching fairy tail, i love this song. And I️ really love the piano backgrounding his voice. It’s beautiful.
Keita had 13 vocal changes throughout the last 20 years of his career. To say he is not talented is a grand understatement. Even when he could no longer hit the high note in Forever Memories he went and took years to practice a falsetto that would allow him to hit it. Forever Memories being their very first song at the age of 14 and released when 15.

I'm the same age as Keita, born only a few days before him, and my adoration for Japanese pop as a teenager importing the first album, phenomenal! So glad to see 21 years strong, but Ryuichi will be missed. There will always be three w-inds, even if less remain.
