Been struggling with that unsink for like an hour, I could just not do your method. I kept hearing you say after countless rewatches that jo nakashinas vid wasn't very clear. Just for curiosity I popped over to it. Using his method I done it in about 2mins. So glad I can continue this model
I think it may be easier to do the second series of unsinks by unfolding it and then assemble that star shaped thing with the paper on the outside instead of pulling it out.
@@FearlessFlourish yeah spider legs are hard because unlike insect legs you have to add some thickness and roundness, but insects you just make them as thin as possible
thanks for the video, bro i knew it, the diagrams didnt tell that the other side had to be unsinked as well because everything looked the same even without unsinking the other side, until i found something off when it was time to trim the outskirts by sinking all 8 flaps making it a diamond shape, i was still able to do it but it was off oh nice you found a way to not have to open all the way inside for that middle flap at the top. i found it rather really hassle to have to open everything from the inside to get that small pinch out. i was gonna look for jo nakishima's tutorail but then i found that you made a video on it as well thanks now i dnt have to keep going until i get a dead lock end and start all over again, very convenient :D i was doing it just a while ago outside home. and cudnt check an online tutorial to save me from the trial and error process that will damage the paper
Where did you buy the paper? Standard tissue paper is way too thin for this and kami is just too thick. Those are the only two I have available right now and I can't fold it with either...

I have made it earlier. Though it seems incredibly difficult, I can guarantee any experienced origami artist can do it in a few tries.
Arin Ray shaping is the only hard part i find, especially the legs, no matter the amount of times I’ve done this, cant get them good enough

I think I might need better (and larger) paper for this. Oh, and maybe 3 hours and sudden peace of mind, as well.
Hehe, use around 35-40cm, that will give you a really good sized fold

Do not colour it because you can buy a thin black textured paper. It will be easier to make with a coloured black paper.👍👍👍👍👍
