I am 71 and have been looming for 5 years. I found it when I was buying Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. I bought them full size looms. I went on you tube to see what you could make and went down to Michaels and got a monster tail. I prefer it over the full size loom. So many items can be made off it. I make them and give them away to our Senior Center. I keep some in my purse and hand out to children with parents approval of course. Happy Looming!
I'm 61 from Belgium and had to learn for activity for the children 6/12 years, so i learned for adults to put 2 looms toghether so no extensions are necessary, the EZ looper and the monster tail also, yes keep going 😊
Part 2 please!!! I am a bracelet girly and make tons of bracelets using a variety of materials such as beads, rubber bands, yarn, and embroidery thread, speaking of which, I would LOVE to watch you nake some friendship bracelets using thread! I bet they'd turn out so cute!! I enjoyed the video and keep up the great work @BeanieBettle 💯👍
I have like two looms and the monster tail, the finger loom and the alpha loom. I enjoy looming as a adult too and I have way too bands but I still think it’s fun.
I teach 2nd grade and I run the bracelet making club at my school! its the most popular club at my school so I had to open up a second day for it and I genuinely only wanted to do it because I wanted an excuse to buy a new rainbow loom 😅 We get paid to do clubs so I am having fun while getting paid. the kids LOVE to hear my stories about me doing these bracelets in school and I genuinely love seeing all of the kids so proud of everything they make! even the middle school kids (i teach at a k-8 school) love the club and started selling bracelets to their friends (though if anyone asks I know nothing about it lol, i don’t want my kids to get in trouble)
would love to get back into looming, loved it so much when i was in primary school. was great for my anxiety and ADHD concentration at the time. im 23 now and hoping to get back into it.
I loved your review! Rainbow Loom was a big part of my teen years. I still have plenty of bands and recently decided to give it a go again. It’s nice to see others picking it up nowadays for fun 😊
underrated. I remember I used to make loom bands as a child and it was fun. I just found my old looms kit as a child and I try it out now and I say it is still fun but I am 17 so yeah. And by child I mean when I am 7 or 11? I think.
I just got back into rainbow loom and I love it. I got rid of it because I stopped using it nut I was starting to miss it so I bought a kit and fell back in love with it
I'm 47 and started again after years. I even made dragons tru Courteney Nicole her tutorials. Now i'm gonna make them (hopefully when it's almost Christmas) to sell for charity.
Adding to the point about value: I'm impressed too that it looks like this new kit you got came with a metal hook instead of a plastic one like my older kit! Anyway, this was a really fun video! I love your point about how there's no real reason that we need to outgrow "kids crafts". I'm 32, I just recently found a Rainbow Loom kit at a consignment shop and decided to give it a go. I've been having a lot of fun with it! And to your point about comparing it with other more "mature" crafts like knitting--I've actually just recently started to crochet as well, and it's funny how I keep finding myself reaching for my loom bands instead of my yarn. There's just something satisfying about playing with rubber bands! Also satisfying how much faster you can finish an item compared to crochet, lol.
So true! I have so many half-finished knitting projects laying around, so it’s nice to be able to start and finish a rainbow loom project all in one sitting :)
I know this video was a year ago but anyway my fellow rainbow loom ppl use loop n loom (bands not crochet one thingy) if your struggling with the hook, so you can also do it on your fingers
My baby sister is turning 11 this year, around the same age I had to give up mine (she was starting to toddle and eat small things… like rubber bands…)but am excited to introduce her to them through a kit for her birthday!!
Ahen i was in year 2 ( im british ) i snuck a packet of loom bands in my bag.I was caught by one of the teachers and they took my bag snd loom bands until then end of thr day😂😂
Fr tho I did it in my school locker in middle school 💀 I had a hole list of the amounts. On my locker it said “rainbow loom sop and creactions” yes they were spelt just like that💀 bro a ring was like 5 bucks 💀 inflation but in middle school 💀 I actually did get a lot of sales due to me making lamaruni the band animals the first month I got 100+ dollars 💀 help tho why do I remember so much of it 💀 eh it was a good part of my life so :)
I know I’m older than the demographic after all I’m 62 but they did not have this when I was growing up. So I guess I’m in child hood era Never to old to learn. If it’s fun and you enjoy it who cares how old you are. Keep up the good work
I love rainbow loom but the fossil bracelet is hard but I haven't tried the water drop bracelet I think it's called tear drop idk tho EDIT. it's actually called the rain drop so sorry
Be careful pretty much all the rainbow loom bands that Don't come from the actual store feel like cheap plastic that are so irritating get the ones from the actual online store, but be careful the shipping is more than the item which is bs
Thanks for letting me know! The Rainbow Loom brand bands can be hard to find in stores here in Canada but I try to avoid ordering online because of the shipping costs 😬
I did a miny shop with my friends and we only knew how to make single chains but AR nuisances got shut down but I did a show and tell of all of my bracelets.
I’m nine years old, right? How do you expect my little eyes to watch everything that you’re doing? You have to slow down the video so we can see what you’re doing cause I really really want to make that bracelet so next time please just slow down when you make another video.
