This is the best video I've found. Really breaks down the details and actually provides visual examples instead of drawings, which can be so vague. Thank you so much, all the way from California!
What a fantastic presentation! I've learnt so much from this. Lynda explained everything so well, it was brilliant. Thank you to everyone that made this possible.
I had Lynda as a lecturer in my undergraduate at the Institute of Technology Tralee between 2018 and 2022. I am now undertaking a research masters in semi-natural grasslands and once again using these videos and it feels like I am back in the lecture room with her! Great lecturer and passionate about her field.
Another great webinar, Ive been waiting for a quiet period to watch this and Ive not been disapointed. Perfect pacing, perfect content for a novice like myself, feels like its a great basis to go forward and learn more. Thank you Linda for putting this together and your patient delivery. Arent grasses just the best little plant to promote the budding young scientist, not too complex but challenging enough and with enough going on to stimulate the rhizomes in their little brains. My kids dont know it yet but this is their summer project.
What a really informative presentation, I loved the photos especially leaf hair, ligule and sheath for identification. Thanks you to all, most enjoyable.
what i would find most helpful of all, would be a video catalogue of all the various types of grasses. best of all would be a split screen, divided into four sub squares showing the following in each of the four quarters: 1: the (pre-flowering) foliage 2: the infloresence 3: close up of spikelets 4: the plants as it looks in winter. and finally, full screen video footage of how the mature plant moves/sounds in a breeze (for grass gardeners).
this videololog (ancient though it is) is the best clip i've come across so far to give a good overview of Ornamental grasses: th-cam.com/video/XH-TPOjx7o0/w-d-xo.html
