This is our song, my husband and I met while this song was playing, and we chose it as our Wedding Dance song. This song is played on every single anniversary for the entire 31 years he was alive and is still played today by myself, alone, while I sit next to his picture and reminisce. I miss him so much. Pat, you and Ron both - RIP! I will see you again my Forever Love!
Gotta psychic friend who's seen the other side, she says "Rob your dog, cats and your parents are on the other side when you get there". In your case the man from your youth, but she said it saddens them to look down and see us in anguish and despair. She said if you let go a beautiful thing happens, the good times and memories come into sharp focus. I didn't believe it but it's true, day come I might not even know my own name but there are memories I'll take to my grave. Do your best to live a good life, I have found the guitar to be a comforting companion and who knows perhaps one day you will write songs to comfort others in their time of loss and grief.
45 years later, this song is STILL a timeless classic. Prism's lead guitarist, Lindsay Mitchell, has written one true love song that won him a 1980 SOCAN award for composing the song. I was 14 when this song was played on radio stations all over Canada. Im surprised, it only reached #33 in Canada and not even a hit in the US.
This song holds a part of my heart, The first and only time I really fell in love with a girl that I met in denver. I was 18 and was only there less then 2 days this song was playin when we met. I would not eat or sleep for days. I am 48 now, I wonder what ever happend to her? Dorthy Allen was her name. When ever I hear this song a shed a tear for a love that was lost. I remember her cryin when I had to leave.
Reading the comments below, I can't believe, after all these years, how Ron passed away and I'm only finding this out. Where the hell have I've been. . My god!!!! how tragic. He had a BRILLIANT!!!!! voice and this band, to me anyway, were so underrated. Canada has produced some fine talent over the years and these guys are right up there with the best of them. Ron, may you RIP.
I am so greatful to have grown up through this extraordinary time in our history . I was a young teenager back then , all these songs are etched on my very soul . I can't thank you enough . A shout out to all portrait artist out there , all the hours drawing and listening to all that awesome music . I've began to draw once again and right along with it ,listening to all my favorites...I remember. Thank you
R.I.P. RON TABAK....born about 3 hrs from my hometown here in alberta....feel bad for Ron the way management and lindsay mitchell treated Ron....PRISM never recovered from that power trip from certain individuals......god bless ron tabak.....
This song makes me cry for various reasons. Memories, ex Girlfriends, lost loves, broken hearts. It also brings me good memories for the happiness, I remember listening to this too. Weddings, Anniversaries, after school dances, thinking of special girls you dated. 🤔 Yes indeed !
Reminds me of my wife and i of 43 years and still very much in LOVE. up in WASAGA BEACH ONTARIO CANADA. Hopefully when the 5 Grandchildren reach the age were there more interested in friends but keep an eye on Nana and Papa we will RETIRE there.
Oh my. Does this song take me back to my youth! Reminds me of the time when I was chasing a lovely girl from school. Brings back memories of my misbegotten youth in B.C. and messing about with great friends in the great B.C. outdoors!!
Ty for this post. My first crush, first dance, first kiss and lastly it was my first time dumped. That was our song. You brought me back to that moment in junior high. Half a century later, it sneaks into my dreams. I wake up with a smile. Ty again.
This song, some 40 years ago, not, knowingly held the most amazing girl in my arms for this song in a friends basement, "Night to Remember Indeed", thanks Sam, ...
Great video... yes PRISM is a Canadian treasure... so lucky to have seen the original line up in 1980. Ron Tabak one of the great distinctive voices of rock.
Thank you "DieSinister" for such a beautiful montage for this song. I love watching every single pictures you put in there! Excellent work! Love is beautiful, no matter how you look at it.
I live north of you,in the thumb of Michigan, you remeber the big 8 CKLW,or AM740,1070 CHOK,or 630AM CFCL,great Canadian stations, still listen to the ones that play this kind of music, even AM580 is on the air still.
As a gay man who is in love, I want to thank you for posting this video for such a beautiful song and showint the beauty of love be it gay or otherwise and thank you who have defended the respect for lgbt people and this song really illustrates how I feel about my partner who after 19 years is still the true love of my life :)
At my first high school dance in 1979, this song was playing and I was dancing with Sandra Ambler, slow and close. I looked at her and leaned in for our first kiss. I love that memory. I wonder how she is today.
Loved this band when I was in high school. Saw them again about 10 years ago and it wasn't the same without Ron Tabak. RIP. This song brought back some great memories of hanging out at the local burger joint in Mississauga, Ontario. Thanks for posting.
The year 1982, the place Denver. This song was playin the very frist and only time I ever really fell in love with someone. I was only in town for 36 hours, and only 18 years old.I could not sleep or eat for days, I never felt like that again and I am 48 now. Dorothy Allen. I wonder how shes doing now.
Henry Small who sung this lives in Kamloops BC - He is a morning DJ with 98.3 CIFM - ha has a studio and helps people develope and he also spearheads 'Music In The Park' all summer long.He is very well liked in town, still plays the violin at different venues as well

Ah memories! This reminds me of rollerskating and looking for someone to couples skate with. We used to sneak in Baby Duck wine in an old Tupper ware container and drink it before we tried to hit on the girls. Wish I had a time machine because I wouldn't give 2023 and all the covid and war and misery a second glance! RIP Ron ✌
NO matter who sings it - It obviously hit the mark - @ cornflakes - that is the absolute beauty of music. Barry White is the best at explaining that - cheers Henry every weekday in the morning
