Congratulations on the growth of your channel! I enjoy not only the content of your videos but I also like your attitude toward small towns and forgotten places. Some small town are well-cared-for and beautiful. Others are neglected and run down. You do not belittle the run down areas. Instead you give factual information regarding the history of those places. You elevate rather than devalue. Thank you for being a good, kind human being. May your channel continue to grow in 2025!
We, my wife and I, love your videos Wiseguy. She is legally blind, so loves sitting and listening to your videos and she and I both have death go round tshirts! Keep going to one thousand videos! Also, wait, have you ever given me an "lol"? Grin
Thanks for the work you put into the channel. I look forward to seeing the next episode. I grew up in western Kansas now living in Missouri so I have been to a lot of small towns in those states. I love the inclusion of the town dogs and if there’s no dogs I moo at the cattle lol 😂! Good luck looking forward to the next year 😎
l don't recall how long ago l "found" you, (it's been quite a while) BUT what reeled me in was your simple, attractive, easy to read thumbnails. You should teach others your secret! Keep doin' what yer doin'!!! 👍👍👍
I'm still watching, and loved our walk through Virginia City NV in July 2023. The algorithm introduced me to your content almost off the get go. I've mentioned your channel and linked to you more than a few times. I'm stoked to see your hard work rewarded with channel growth. In my content, I've seen the improvement in presentation. I'll add that having a higher quality camera certainly helps. You're one of the reasons I bought a drone, it came yesterday. Wishing you continued success. And, offering a 4xlt and a size 8 fitted WSU baseball hat would be awesome! As always...
You ARE a numbers guy. I like hearing these statistics, very interesting. I'm in your "old" category and I think this population enjoys traveling via Wise Guy without leaving our homes. Thanks for all you do.
I really enjoy your videos. Your great at researching all the places you go to. I definitely love the history behind all your videos too. Keep up the amazing work that you do❤❤
When I started to watch your videos, I don't remember but I have come to love them. You are interesting and easy to listen to. Your drone shots of the places you visit are great. Some of the places make me yearn to visit and stay awhile. Like the towns you showed Sunday in Arizona. Boy did that ever bring back memories. Your channel ( if you call it) is the only travel one I watch. I have always wanted to travel around America in an RV but now I'm too old (75). So John I travel with you. I loved going to Alaska and especially Hawaii, because I always wanted to go there. So thank you, John. It's been fun and I hope this year's travels will be too. Happy trails to you and God bless.
I am happy for you. You deserve all these subscribers and more. When I first saw your videos I think you had about 14000 or 16000 subscribers. Not sure how long ago it was I found your channel. Glad I found your channel. Good luck to you John.
Well now I know when to plan a trip to Wichita! You can thank my coffee table for adding a subscriber. I tripped over it and was recovering from a knee injury. While I was hanging out on the sofa I found your channel and have had many hours of enjoyment following your adventures. I just got a camera drone and am hoping 2025 is a year of adventures on my own small road-trips.
I really appreciate your channel. I discovered your channel during Covid. I generally like travel videos. I'm 66 and female. I think older viewers are attracted because a lot of older people can't travel adventurously, so they enjoy it vicariously. My favorite video is the Oregon Trail one. I think you could grow your channel significantly if you were able to spread out more from your area. But I get it, you have a real job coaching. Anyway, keep up the good work!
This is interesting. A lot of channels I've subscribed to have had bad experiences with YouTude itself so it's nice to get some idea of how it works. Congratulations on growing the channel. I'm an "armchair" viewer who will never get to visit these places. (I'm way over 65!) 😁😅 Thank you for all the interesting graphs. Best of luck.
My perspective on it might be different because I have another job that can help pay the bills compared to people who only rely on YT. I appreciate your support!
Your videos are very enjoyable! Wish I could travel as you do, to out of the way places. Have you ever tried to "interview" local old-timers in these small towns? That could be interesting. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Yes I’ve done that a few times - possibly you haven’t seen those but I did in Loving County, TX. Monowi, NE. No Man’s Land Museum in OK. I try to do that whenever I can.
Great news video. John, you are doing great. Not only do you show all the areas of a town you visit, but you tell the history of each one, which we really like. Also, there is usually some humor in your videos mostly in the outtakes which we get a kick out of. We are hoping someday you will be able to have your channel as a full time job. Hang in there and keep up the good work. 😊
You kept popping into my feed. Weekends are my "TH-cam" time when I'm not using it for specifics. (funny you should mention crochet) One afternoon, I thought, what the heck I'll try. Things I look for #1 the poster's voice. #2 content and how presented. You matched those for me. I love the nostalgia and places you go off the beaten path. Thank you, from a Missouri neighbor. Of course I'm subscribed!
I started watching you when I saw your video of your interview with Joe of Joe and Nic and then I subscribed. I am one of those women over 65. Also when I found out you were a track coach at WSU I was hooked.
yoo travel with a wise guy you should explore U.S-54 in Kansas venturing the small towns like Eureka and Yates Center also love the vids keep up the good work
Your videos are amazing. They have inspired me to get back on my Harley and do some more traveling. I have a real interest in visiting ghost towns so that is my goal for this summer. Thanks so much!!
Really cool video John. Cool to hear all the insights and BTS stuff. And 100k subscribers, I really think that's gonna happen soon. And I will join the party! If you'll pay for the plane ticket of course 😁
Thanks! I picked up the guitar about 15 years ago and taught myself. I used to be decent but now I rarely play it and my skill is very minimal 😂 similar to my running haha
What you have done is entertaining, enlightening, and energizing. Thanks for the hard work.
Thanks, that’s my goal! 😊

Thanks for the support! And I love that you both have the shirts! That's awesome! 👍 and I’m sure I’ve never “lol’d” you 😂
@@TravelwithaWiseguy😂😂
Your channel and videos have been a big blessing!!!
That means a lot to me! Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the support! I'm glad we have some shared roots in the heartland!

Thank you! I think our thumbnails have gotten better over time. I think about going back and re-doing some of the old ones 😂
Love your videos, don't get to watch as many as I used to but still enjoy when I can, keep up the great work ❤

I’m so glad you've enjoyed the journey with me! Fun to make those connections. I’ve had the same experience with other channels too 😊
THANKS COACH 😊
You are very welcome! 😄

Thank you! That was probably in late 2023 at that amount of subscribers. 😊

Sorry about the knee! Ooh the drone will be fun - I’ve only put mine in the river once 😂
I enjoy your videos. I've seen some places I've been and I like that you show places no one else goes.
Thank you! I'm trying to find unique places to show! 😊

You definitely have done your homework. Thank you for giving the extra information in your videos. That's one of the reasons I watch your channel.
I appreciate that! It’s important to me to be as thorough as I can and still make it interesting.

I have really enjoyed your videos. I can’t wait to see where you take us this year. ❤️🙏😎👍

Been here since the beginning and even though I don’t comment much I enjoy all the videos and glad to see your channel growing!

I did a YT search using the coach with the scariest beard and you came up first. After you was a plethora of football coaches! 😉
That’s funny! You’re not wrong 😉
I've learned a lot of history about my state of Oklahoma.
Love your channel. Quick question. I see your guitar. Do you play? Look forward to next video!
Thanks! I picked up the guitar about 15 years ago and taught myself. I used to be decent but now I rarely play it and my skill is very minimal 😂 similar to my running haha
Hey flat lander!(lol) Just keep being sincere and genuine. We'll keep watching.
How did you come up with the death go around name?
Good question 🤔 Honestly I don’t remember. I feel like it’s something me and my friends have said since we were little 😂
How does you tube know how old I am? I never gave them my birthdate. Oh, I’m in the 65 + group
It might only pull info from people who put their birthdates 🤷🏼♂️
Most of your viewers are over 65, hence the reason low subscriber rate. Fixed income +, money has been really tight the past few years.
But subscribing is free 🤷🏼♂️ I don’t feel like it’s a low rate - I think it’s great! 😊
It’s good to be below the standard! I have not reached the over 65 group 😂
