Great effort by our Malaysian pair. Always wish them the best and always hoping that they'll play solidly and win. Just that there's a few things that probably stand in their way of being consistent and ruthless champions....
    1) too emotional on court- need to control emotions on court. Notice the best players and most consistent winners do not let their emotions get to them, do not show too much emotion on court, do not let their opponent see their nervousness or frustration. Have more of a poker face.
    2) always looking to the coach for answers - ladies you are pros on the circuit for years now. Why do you keep looking at the coaches for guidance during the game? You need to figure things out for yourselves during the game. Looking too much to the coach is a sign of immaturity and over dependence
    3) frequent lapses of concentration - serving into the net and losing all momentum. Many of their games turn from large winning positions to losses starting from one unforced error, and then snowballing into several mistakes in a row
    4) frequent errors of judgement leaving shuttles that are landing in... This is psychological weakness, sign of scrambled judgement

Lol, comment from someone who cant even represent their own country. Any professional player will look at their coach for guidance even during match. Can see it even at goated lindan n chong wei

Just my personal opinion - the Malaysian coaches should seriously consider partnering Thinaah and Pearly with new partners. I have seen Thinaah and Pearly playing for several years, I believe that Thinaah is the better doubles player, Pearly cause too many unforced errors especially at the net and lacking strength at the baseline.

Pretty bad take imo. To partner with someone new they’d both have to rebuild their playstyles from scratch again, when at the moment they’re playing at the best any women’s doubles from Malaysia have.

@JOELLZE korean and japanese players are able to do it successfully, why can't us? though i disagree with og comment, i don't agree with your reasoning. if players have great individual skills, changing partners wouldn't be a big deal. all the WD champions from the last 3 tournaments were all scratch pairs. the real problem is that we don't have good female players in general, especially for rear court players.

@@haluhaluhihi5509 you wrong!! To get them a balance pair the most important things is who is the closest highest world rank ?? To make a good point count! If not.. You start from 100s & IC level rank 200-400. So, whooooooo? Tell me.

@alleymittanderson5799 so you agreed with me? like i said, changing partner and adapting to new playstyle are not the problem, the problem is we don't have good female players. so you're basically regurgitating my point?

This pairing of Kim Hye Jeong and Kong Hee Yong is better than with their previous partners, especially in the case of Kim Hye Jeong and the ineffective Jeong Na Eun who is no longer playing in women's doubles and mixed doubles. Kong had a good run with Kim So Yeong but they have not been winning titles for some time. These two even beat the world number one pair Lee So Hee and Baek Ha Na in a previous encounter. This is their second title and we can look forward to more as they are still relatively young. Tan and Muralitharan put up a good fight but could not prevail.
