Thank you for your videos Allysia, they're very helpful. I don't agree with "everything" you say, but this would be a terrible world if we all thought alike.
I really enjoyed this video, I'm so happy you post on Tuesday as well because my piano lessons are Tuesday so I can watch your video while I wait for my lesson time. :) I want to use all of your point! The only differences for me is I want to try closer to 8 hours practice a week because I'm preparing for the RCM 10 right now. I'm 23. My practice times are exclusively in the evening because I work full time as an Engineer so I have to do 1-1.5 hour practices daily at like 8pm.
Hey Allysia! I just wanted to let you know that your Practice Journal on Amazon does not have many images showcasing what's actually inside! Just adding the images with the doodles and mock practice sessions (such as those showcased in your "Official Release" video) would do wonders to help display its aesthetic and utilitarian awesomeness!
One of my favorite podcasts is the Piano Puzzler: www.yourclassical.org/programs/performance-today/topic/piano-puzzler Pianist Bruce Adolphe plays a familiar song in the style of a specific composer. It's a fun challenge!
This video was exactly what i needed, i spend the previous days thinking about this because i want to start playing piano again. Very useful tips. Thanks!!
Thank you for all your tips and videos! I have been learning for a year and three months and since my third month of learning you have helped me a lot! Specially with the books that you recommend ! I have a few of all your collection 🙈🤓 And I agree live concerts are something else! Thanks again! Continue the good work!! Greetings from Oklahoma (: PS. You should share with us the song that you're preparing for your Halloween performance! 🎃♥️
why the fuck you only have 36k ? you deserve million. I don't know why I miss a great channel like this . you should work hard on sharing your channel !! is all the lessons in the playlists ?
Who has time to practice in the morning? I start to work at 8 AM lol. I practice as soon as I get home for work (or now during coronavirus once I log off for the day).
Working from home makes it so easy to practice in the morning. I start work at 8:00 am as well. I practice from 7:00 am to 7:30 am or so. That's my technique practice. And I get in my repertoire practice after work.
I have always wondered: somebody had to be "the first" (or multiple persons were "the first" independently of each other, not knowing each other) to figure out how to play a piano.

Great suggestions! Do you have any suggestions for holiday piano music? I'm tired of the hymnal!
mike acord I want to see a video like this
Hi Allysia, could you suggest some podcasts for classical music?
Who has time to practice in the morning? I start to work at 8 AM lol. I practice as soon as I get home for work (or now during coronavirus once I log off for the day).
Working from home makes it so easy to practice in the morning. I start work at 8:00 am as well. I practice from 7:00 am to 7:30 am or so. That's my technique practice. And I get in my repertoire practice after work.
YESS!!!!!!
I tend to practice from 15 to 22 hrs a week, but everyone know that to be actually good you have to practice 40 hrs a day
Listen to weekly podcast, that's where you come in haha
Hi. Another good video. How’s the wedding planning going? Life okay?
What podcasts do YOU recommend?
Bi-monthly is every two months. Semi-monthly is twice a month.
bimonthly could also mean twice a month. google it
I've looked all over but couldn't find a suitable Michael.
Any suggestions?
I have always wondered: somebody had to be "the first" (or multiple persons were "the first" independently of each other, not knowing each other) to figure out how to play a piano.
semi-monthly = 2x per month
When I clicked the link in the description for the practice journal... it popped up gibberish... help... O_o
"Pick a practice time and stick to it"
You lost me there
if you have to force youreself to enjoy it than its probably not for you.
Hellllllllooooooooo
But what if piano practice is already the whole of your life?
Serious question. Why are you so pretty? What is your make up routine? Are all piano teachers pretty like you? My teacher is weird looking 😂
Coffee Beans I wish she was my teacher
My teacher is beautiful, but she's russian, so its 'even better 😂
Simp
I'd get married you 😂❣️
