Sparda doesnt get enough credit honestly. The man was permaganked top game 1 and came out of lane phase 0/6/0 which would have sent a majority of players into mega-tilt since he honestly wasn't playing that badly, just snowbally Darius. Game 2 he is 0/5/11 but is a massive player in peeling for Artemis and denying BDS the shutdown gold on a play that was set up very well by BDS, continues to find great engages and flipbacks for his team to set up picks as he distracts the backline. But this game is the absolute pinnacle of mental comeback: 6/0/7. This man's mental is actually insane, to go from two no-kill games and the most killed on his team to perfect kda to round out the best of series. An actual goat
First off, I knew nothing about BDS going into Worlds. Just judging from the play-in series against GG, it seemed like they were a team that relies on Adam to win them early game and barring that, rely on their teamfighting to carry them through. As such, I was hopeful that as a VCS rep, Team Whales would be able to match them and defeat them. Boy, am I glad that proved true, because it felt like a wash after Game 1. Major kudos to Sparda for not tilting off the face of the earth and coming back to have a massive Game 3.

The thing is the same as ever: Play for Adam, and he will carry. BUT if Adam has a happy game, no one in his team is able to carry back the whole game. By the time Adam goes to other team,BDS gonna choke again to 9/10th position.
tbh mid and bot of bds were completely useless today, ezreal was not the pick in any of those games vs a weaker team and nuc got completely outclassed in mid.
EDIT: i think we have seen camera on bot lane for like 1% of game time, they just did nothing.
I really thought BDS was going to win after seeing the first game. They crumbled like Jenga after seeing how well TW's Adc was.
Can quickshot let Mark Z finish his sentence, they keep cutting him off mid analysis and its annoying to watch. I get NA lost but be more professional.
Quick shot has always been the most annoying analyst. Always treats the EU NA rivalry like it’s 10 year olds beefing on Xbox live. takes everything so literal while everyone else is doing like playful banter
the Play-in this year is very strong.

Lets see how they do vs some of our good teams. BDS is somewhat shaky and is known to choke and get reverse swept (this was also a mini reverse sweep as they won game 1).

BDS playing through Adam is a new approach for them. I'm really tired of people acting like it's their only strategy.
They play for Crownshot while trying to neutralize enemy jungle.
Adam then capitalizes on the lack of attention to overload mid or take 1v1s. Also roams early to teamfights without teleport, sacrificing lane for dragon control.
And it's less reliable, as well as unusual for them.
That's how they were a successful team in spring.
Adam literally is there only strat here. Once the guy crumbles, so is the whole BDS team - and TW knew that, thats why they won
He’s they’re only win condition. He either completely carries, or he draws so much attention that the other 4 can take fights where they outnumber. It’s really the only way at they win. Crownie and Nuc just aren’t that good.

Yeah, sure... Nuc down 15-20cs at 14 in every game with 1 death in 2 of the 3 games and never able to roam with Taliyah because he got poked a lot by Syndra in lane. Meanwhile Adam carry game 1 with the help of Sheo. But yeah, somehow you find Nuc is the only one not to choke...

EU is only good vs NA they lose vs wildcard teams regulary. FNC lost vs LLL worlds 22 and vs PSG 0:2 in worlds 2021. They are just so inconsitant. Or MAD in worlds 2020 they lost vs 2 minor region teams. Maybe the times will come where EU and NA are not even maior regions anymore.

Fun game, but boring casters. Riot needs to take worlds seriously or next year there wont even be a stage, this year's pitiful attendance needs to be addressed.
