Mark Allen well C. J.’s vocals do sound like a guy who is 25+ years older than he used to be. The drums are over the top. The harmonies could be tighter. Overall, it does suck.
I wasn't saying that I am not a fan, just that THIS particular live showing would be disappointing if I had paid money to see it....but I do think that genre in particular can shred vocalists through the years...Cinderella is one that jumps to mind....love them but Tom K cant sing anymore..there are more examples but that is the only one I can think of at the moment (Monday brain haze and at work)...this style of vocals is hard on the vocal cords after decades..totally get that but to CJ's credit his voice is still holding up pretty well...its not the vocals I take issue with here, its more the music and the lack of energy and punch.....
