@@BackChat Just make sure you don't put the year on your Flagmantle merch, then you can resell it the next season and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that and the season after that.
Plugger Lockett used to get huge bags of goals consistently for a bottom team on a mud heap. Saints would get 12 goals and he'd kick 8 for example. Saints would still lose by 10 goals plus. Virtually kick in front of him and he'd win the ball and goal. There is no doubt that he's the greatest forward ever.
Bulldogs have been smart to change their name to Western, and then play games west in Ballarat. They need to continue the push into western Victoria. If they can grab fans off traditional Essendon areas even better. The AFL need to help them grab new immigrant fans and allow them to run programs so that they can be more sustainable as a club. We want new immigrants following footy and in particular clubs like North and Bulldogs in Melbourne. Its really important otherwise the competition will become more uneven with supporter numbers and media attention and subsequently sponsorship and corp support.
Dockers need to bring back the green and red, and they'll sell a lot more jumpers and merchandise. Also get rid of the shocking all white away strip. How they can't mix up the jumper and use a few of the colours and/or even coloured shorts.
@@greatestguyever there have been multiple jumpers in the past. Getting rid of green and red was stupid, when you're trying to sell merchandise. I wasn't a huge fan of the anchor, but the white jumper with white shorts and a dark purple V is like a training jumper. Second rate. Use the green and red and take back green before the Tassie team joins.
Freo do have more people of mixed ages, but then again its easier for them to get a seat as they average around 40k on good seasons (capacity 60k). Differences between the fan bases. Freo fans are the biggest smokers. During the games you'll see a lot outside having a puff. Eagles definitely drink more during games by and large. Freo fans tend to be a lot quieter when their team is losing and tend to be pessimistic. As an independent viewer, they seem to expect the worse. Eagles tend to be louder fan base, but are older and more adults (no doubt that's why they're louder too).
Freo need to get their song sorted then. They play all this ACDC and well produced modern rock before the game. Then suddenly it stops and you hear the folksy Freo Way to Go... almost as cringy as Sons of the West. If they're going to play all this well produced rock tunes, then you need to improve the quality of the club theme song or it just sounds second rate. Also its only Freo in name really. They've moved from Fremantle, got rid of anchors, wharfy logos, changed the original colours plus made the purple look like navy blue, no reference to East or South Fremantle...
Well spoken Simon. I'm all in 🎉
Freo at Cockburn... Go the Cocker Dockers.
Get the "Its Wharfie Time" & Flagmantle merch on stand back lads. Fingers crossed The Fremantle Dockers finally reach the top of the mountain.
There's an interview with Simon in 1993 on youtube. I forgot he had hair lol.

Freo has lost all reference to Fremantle now, apart from its name. They're at Cockburn. I call them the Cocker Dockers.
