I really liked the first game. Especially how after his group died he just played a sane, normal endgame rather than trying every possible insane invasion. Would be nice if everyone kept their cool like that.
You mean, it would be nice if your opponents stopped resisting? :D If you are behind, the only reasonable thing is to play insane and try everything - otherwise you might as well resign, unless you are going for endgame practise (which tygem players are not ^^)
The first game? White should have resigned the minute his lower left group died. There was no possible way he could ever make up that kind of loss. Just resign and get it over with and stop wasting everyone's time. Honestly White was already losing even before his big group died. smh
You got a problem with people practising their endgame? It's Tygem, if everyone resigns when they get killed no one would get to practise their endgame.
You practice endgame with endgame problems or in a close game. In one you are more than twenty points behing, it is annoying for your opponent and you will not learn much because your opponent will not care if you catch up a few points.
Nahuel Garcia This is one of the reasons why I don't play against humans much anymore (only people I trust will play reasonably). With an AI like Leela and/or AlphaGo, you can be sure pretty much beyond doubt that they will resign as soon they determine there is no possible way to win. Another reason I play against AI is very frequently a human player will put stones in areas they have no business being - like already established territory, which forces me to kill their stones. They KNEW it was a bad move, but they did it anyway in hopes that I would mess up and let their stones live inside.
Hola, first of all thank you for your videos, i love them a lot! Don't know if it is the place to ask that but i tried to search on google and i can't find anything clear. Do women and men participate the same cups? if anyone knows a bit more about that subject and have time to write it down i would like that, good night
Yes, women and men play together, but there are also tournaments for women only, because most of the player base are men and so most of the top players are men. The Samsung Cup had also a seat for women and one for senior go players. And there is also pair go, a team go competition where a pair of man and woman play together
There is no etiquette for online... In person each player has a top right corner so the etiquette makes sense. Online you share the same top right corner so you can't each have one meaning no etiquette.
Maybe. Takes quite awhile to get a game thats not a bot at that level on kgs. In the mean time, i do have a game in my first few basics series vs a 3 if you havent seen it yet. th-cam.com/video/Fi7_a5TI0eo/w-d-xo.html
Here's some songs to listen to while you play. Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass Stereo MC's - Connected Survivor - Eye of the Tiger Leonard Cohen - Avalanche Magic Sword - Kill Them All Hey, why not make a musical edition?

Great video, perfect level for me, and I love when you get into details of shape.

CRUEL TEACHER
Thanks for the video, batts!
=8)-DX
you play so well
Those shodan shapes may be silly (and my shapes even sillier), but not quite as silly as those backwards numeric coordinates :p
The power of youtube comment make one commit murder.
Teacher, oh teacher, why must you always go against etiquette with Q3 instead of R4 in fuseki?
There is no etiquette for online... In person each player has a top right corner so the etiquette makes sense. Online you share the same top right corner so you can't each have one meaning no etiquette.
I'm jealously angry that while his Lizzie computed thousand of variants my on my home PC is still in the dozens... :/
and yet i still wish my computer was a bit more powerful >> Those encode times can be brutal
@@dwyrin lol ;)

What time do you stream, and where do you stream? Am I missing it some where? I see the times on the video but what time zone?
i stream on twitch.tv/battsgo on mondays, wednesdays, and saturdays.
A 30 point corner on the top is okay... but it's not like it's a 70 point corner on the bottom.
Basics! \o/
r13 as a ko threat at 1:21:20?
classic!

Survivor - Eye of the Tiger
Leonard Cohen - Avalanche
Magic Sword - Kill Them All
Hey, why not make a musical edition?
I just don’t understand why White didn’t resign way sooner in game 1. Useless play after the white group died.
Why dont you review when opponent is still in?
How about calling "Go Back to basics" "Crushing Weaker Players"?
that would be quite misleading in terms of content, intent, and purpose. Guess it would be good clickbait though.
