the one thing i absolutely love about stardew valley is that you can truly see how people express themselves with their home and their farm and how much pride they take in maintaining it all. it’s one of the best ways to express yourself artistically and i think your farm is really thought out and just gorgeous!

Hint: if you're strapped for gift ideas for him and don't have the cooking recipes he likes, he's one who likes just plain chicken eggs. That is amazing. For a few seconds, I felt like a complete chump looking at this. Then I remembered my "perfect" Stardew game is just to do each day as I like and not worry too much about unlocking everything or achieving some ultimate aesthetic. My stone footpaths not quite matching, my orchard trees being a little off, structures just being added organically as needed, is what makes it mine. Of course, I'm also only in spring of year 2, so maybe that'll change.
I'm year 7 and my farm is a huge work in progress lol. I'm aiming for 100% first before making it all pretty lol probs wont get my farm like this until much later on aha

On my main playthrough I have crab cakes or pepper poppers alongside my espresso every single morning. When I started a new save for 1.6 I got to really appreciate the little things I took for granted lol. You only eat when you’re about to pass out, surviving on wild horseradish and carrots, it’s the metaphorical trenches! Hahah

That’s what I was thinking. I did my first few play through on the hilltop farm, and it’s a lot less stressful for me because I don’t have as much space to place buildings and such. Less buildings, less work.

Wow! I used to play Harvest Moon growing up and I actually started playing Stardew recently because of my sister’s recommendation. There are so many cool things you can do and make! Only in year 2 but I’m looking forward to having a pretty, thriving farm. Love to see all the little things you did! Your farm’s gorgeous and I learned a lot just watching!
I keep restarting my farms because of all the pressure I put on myself when I see videos like the 100 day challenges, but seeing this actually helped and reminded me how I don't need to try to complete everything in just a year. I think this is one of the best farms I’ve actually seen on here. It’s colorful, neat, organized, wide variety of different things.. I feel like for most farm layouts it’s typically pretty messy.
nice and cozy, creative farm. i need to start transitioning to aesthetics over optimized. i’ve only polished my aesthetics once and it’s still mostly just a large field of ancient fruit lol im at that point where money and qi gems are meaningless but i still do my chores on impulse lol
Beautiful farm! Clearly a lot of work and thought behind it. I just have to say one thing... the way you handle your inventory makes me think you don’t know that you can press tab to shift the row in your inventory. Never have to reorganize everything to the first row ever again :)
Nice and beautiful farm! Question how do you have so many hay? Did you buy them? I have 4 sillos and I'm struggling to maintain the grass starter and hay its too expensive to buy hay and animals eats the whole grass starter
Make sure you start collecting hay from day 1. Don’t cut ANY grass until you have your first silo made. In your first few years when the farm area isn’t filled let grass grow like crazy and cut some of it every few days. The patch will keep growing and making more. Always have 1 barn/coop that’s not full so you can take the hay out when the silo is full. By year 3 I usually have like 5 stacks of hay, it lasts a while!
You deserve more subscribers for the work you have done. The amount of diamonds is ridiculous! Also is there a reason you don’t let your animals outside?
It's actually a smart idea to keep them inside to pet them all and then let them out after. I always let the door of my coop and barns open and it gets messy since they go everywhere and it's hard to find them all lol I just don't bother
To color roof of the buildings go to Robin's, click on construct buildings and under the buildings there's an icon to paint. Once there, to paint the roof especifically you have to click on a little arrow on the top corner if I'm remembering right, so I can see how it's hard to miss.

you don’t have to water stuff every day it only affects whether it grows crops or not. won’t die or change state ever due to not watering, only season changes outside

I’m on spring year four in my first playthrough and I can’t even access the left side of the farm because the trees have taken over oof.
You know you're a wealthy Stardew Valley character when you can afford to eat breakfast even though your health bar is full.

ya I got them from Marnie’s! costs 49k per stack but so much more convenient than the grass starters
You can also grow wheat during Summer and Fall. They’re super cheap and you have a 40% chance to get hay when you harvest them.

Put a battery pole thing on top of the starter and it keeps it from despawning! Animals can eat it and it doesn’t ever get used up!
Hay is cheap when you’re earning millions per week :D

To color roof of the buildings go to Robin's, click on construct buildings and under the buildings there's an icon to paint. Once there, to paint the roof especifically you have to click on a little arrow on the top corner if I'm remembering right, so I can see how it's hard to miss.

you don’t have to water stuff every day it only affects whether it grows crops or not. won’t die or change state ever due to not watering, only season changes outside
They probably also used Deluxe retaining fertilizer so the only had to water once. You get it on ginger island
