btw, this is not the real Tsukuyomi. this is the false god Tsukuyomi, one of the Six Evil Gods that worked together with Orochi. the real moon god is kinda SP Susabi for some reason.

Interesting tidbit not according to onmyoji lore but, the real Shinto Tsukiyomi has a link to illusions. He is deemed an opposition to Amaterasu because he is the lord of the night.

Kinda like giving complementary to their nature and the moon itself. The dark half represents the male while the female represents the lighter half. It was also hinted in game by their color shades.

There is so little known about Tsukuyomi that even their sex is unknown. (So game decided to go with both gender)
Still, in Man'yōshū, Tsukuyomi's name is sometimes rendered as Tsukuyomi Otoko (月讀壮士, "moon-reading man"), implying that they are male. (So They made his official appearance, Male.)
