My new favorite addiction as well. So glad this talent was developed and assembled to share their gifts with the world. ASSASSIN'S CREED got me to opening my Shazam app. Almost immediate. So glad I checked to see what song that was (FULL CIRCLE) and discovered by accident ny New favorite band
It's Devon, confirmed by HalfMoonRunners at Tumblr. They asked Dylan in Montreal last month and he said lead on this is Dev as usual. Argument over. Just enjoy it and go see them live when they head your way.
You would think that should end it but Dylan also thinks the band got together in fall 2010. Someone needs to ask Conner or Devon. I made my husband watch it one time and asked him who's singing. He pointed to Conner then said he knows the other guy (Devon)'s voice and this one's different. Nobody cares, I know. I just think credit should go where it's due. Most importantly, I love these guys and see them live as much as I can which means travelling well over 1000 kms for each show.
mshalifax67 1- Dylan was probably referring to the early stages of the band, before Devon joined and before they had their name. 2- Dylan is an accomplished musician and isn't tone deaf. I'm sorry, but no musician would ever think that Conner is singing. My ears are way too trained for this to even be a question. I was shocked that this was even a debate. Devon is singing and as much as I love you as a fellow HMR fan, you're not allowed to tune any of my instruments. :-)
LOL. We'll agree to disagree ;). 1. They were all in the same first jam (no earlier stages). 2. We used ear and video in ruling out Devon. Who'd have thought one little live video would cause so much controversy where either side is 100% certain. So interesting, if frustrating.
1:50 should eliminate any doubt as to who is singing. Devon is singing. Conner is singing the low harmony. Albeit, incorrectly, and that may be why he has been almost completely turned down in the mix.
I actually find it really funny why certain people are so positive it's Devon. A list of "credentials" doesn't make one an expert if they are not paying attention. Many of us also have those same "credentials". One person is 100% sure she's right because Devon ALWAYS sings lead...period. Just forget all that and just listen, to both the lead and harmony parts. Then watch. People are getting fooled by who is screwing up in the middle. It's Conner. That's why he's laughing. Devon turns around when he realizes this and they sort it out.
I think it starts off as conner on lead but then they switch for the second verse and that's why you can hear Devon messing up the lyrics in the SECOND verse. So I think....you're both right:D
I do think Conner is singing lead, but at some point Devon does too. Annnnd...Devon has a history of mixing up lyrics...after seeing them live 7 times, it's become kind of a bet between my friends and I LOL
@uuuhmmm30: For Conner's sake, I had to respond. First, for most of the first half of the song, one person is singing. The video shows very well that it's Conner. Devon and Conner have very different voices which was why after even a few notes I knew it wasn't Devon singing. Conner actually has quite a strong singing voice. In this, you can definitely hear Devon singing the higher harmony part. It's quiet but you can still make it out.
Yeah you won't win this...I'm 100% sure it's Devon. First, at 1:46, you can hear and see that Devon messes up the lyrics, it is a good indication that he's the lead because it wouldn't be so obvious if, like you say, Conner was. Secondly, he doesn't even have his guitar, so he would be pretty useless if he wasn't singing. Thirdly, he has always, I mean always been the lead. Why would it suddenly change? It just doesn't make sense. And finally, I just recognize his voice, it is as simple as that.
It's sad that you believe this when it's so obvious that it's Conner, sound-wise AND visually. Honestly, I don't why there is so much confusion out there.

I like the little moment between Conner and Devon when Dev forgets the words.
It's so beautiful that I've stopped caring who is singing lead and just keep hitting the replay button. I recommend it.
I´m happy I discovered this video!!! Connor´s voice is beautiful!! He is so cute and funny, I´ve always wanted to hear him more and finally can!!

I'm sorry but Conner is the backup singer. Devon is the lead as usual.

Soooo good! Which one of them is singing?
