When I was a child in the 1980ies, I often heard stories from old people, that the years before WW1 life became better and more and more comfortable. The war destroyed everything.

I have been to Vienna many times and love these photos. I have been to most of the places photographed. I need to go back as I love this city. Actually, some of my family history are closely connected with the Habsburgs. So I suppose I inherited my love of Wien. However, your choice of music to support these photos needs work.

These photos make you wonder how optimistic Europe must have felt at the turn of the 20th century only for it to be almost destroyed in 1914-1918.
