That was a nice stroll down memory lane. I lived there for about 10 years. I lived in several places in Tennessee for 16 years a number of years ago, and Pulaski, surprisingly to me (being a northern city dweller for most of my life), was my favorite place to live.

@@christineg9002 I get that. That was my impression the first time I saw that area. My eyes didn't like it. But engaging my other senses once I was there revealed that it not scummy, gross or depressing. That small town is nestled in, arguably, one of the most scenic counties in Tennessee; GIles (hard G). It totally grew on me, quickly. Peace.

Its not a Pontiac 6000 its an Oldsmobile 88 Royale 1991. Was my grandfather's car. Still runs great. I bought it from him a few years ago. I rode in the backseat of this car when I was 11 years old. The car is 31 years old.

My daddy and his sister and brother grew up on a very poor mountain farm in Pulaski Tennessee in the 20s and 30s during the Great depression. His brother died of pneumonia after going to a football game with his hair wet. We used to go up when I was a kid and there was a very old graveyard on the property which was about 200 acre property with the farm that his dad and he would bring in the crops tobacco etc and they're carvings from him as a boy which were done very well. He hitchhiked to the University of Tennessee moved to Cocoa Beach and became part of the Great space race against Russia where he works for 35 years. I'm so proud of him and he told me all kinds of stories of the good and bad part of Pulaski. God bless the oppressed and the oppressors. Unfortunately we are all humans LOL. I think they lived in a place called owl holler. Robert Adcock

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS my family a is from Pulaski. My grandparents would be over 100 yrs old if still alive. Pulaski had problems as does every place. We are African American and Native American. Yes, some people were racists, some not. When I finally made it there to visit I was shocked at people waving and saying hello (coming from Chicago and being a stranger). Everyone we encountered was quick to help with info and directions.

Excellent observation about the litter! People in Tennessee have a real pride and artistic flare for their homes no matter how humble. It's a real shock when you cross the border into Alabama, which has terrible blight. The Black population south of Nashville has increased tremendously because of gentrification. They sell in Nashville then buy in the cheaper towns foarther south, which are also getting very expensive! Mid TN has a lot of money you don't see.

He failed to show any historic sites or homes in Pulaski Its as if he checked around for more run down areas and concentrated on that. I know a lot of good people who live in poorer areas but that doesn't mean they aren't trying. Southern culture was a phrase he used often and that he has no clue as to what that is.
