Awesome!!! I would have been freaking out with all those neat things every way you looked!! That bird is a honey!!! I am so glad you bought it for yourself!! You deserve it! I don’t care if you bought something already for yourself, that bird is one of a kind!! What a Fantastic Village!!!! IRF, you did good acknowledging that Plaza to Amy!! 🤗❤️👍🏼🙋🏻♀️
So happy you got Emerson. When you find something that just sparks your heart you need to get it if you can. That 2nd and 3rd store were wonderful and reasonable prices .
I’m happy too! I agree with you! That joy is often sparked at the thrift store when the price is low and that adds to the excitement. This price tag had me hesitant, but Irf said I’d regret walking away, and he was right. 💕Sometimes you have to pay up to make your heart happy. Lol
He is great and really enjoys it too. That makes me so lucky! We embrace our uniqueness and refer to it as “weird.” ❤ After all, who wants to be “normal?” 🤗
I keep forgetting to comment this but I love the way you shop. Fill your cart then analyze, with us, and determine what to keep and what to put back. Love it
Thank you! I have had to train my brain to only make decisions on things that I know will sell. That’s hard when you look at a thing and say “but I like it!” That usually turns into a re-donate pile. 😆 I appreciate the feedback! And I appreciate you watching!! 💕
Ernest Tubb and most of the people you mentioned in the first place were country singers. The glass in the second place was beautiful! I loved hearing the excitement in your voice as you looked at things.
Amy in alllllll the time i have been watching you, i have never ever seen you buy something for yourself and the last two video's have made my heart happy that you found things you loved enough to get for yourself. You deserve them and i hope you enjoy for a long long time! ❤ You guys found some amazing stores on this trip! ❤
Thank you!!! That is sweet! I find things for myself (Irf, the house, etc…), when I thrift, but because the price is so low, I don’t feel the need to justify those purchases. These were big, for me. And they are things that will be treasured, just as you said. 🥰😘
They were awesome!! I think there was cool stuff throughout that plaza. An axe throwing place, a couple of music dinner theatres! It was so close to the campground, I wish we found it sooner!
Oh my goodness!! So much beautiful glass and amazing vintage 🤩 I’ve been to Nashville. Very cool place. My ex husband played hockey for the Nashville knights in the 90’s. I think the team was only lasted until 96. I’m so happy you bought the bird!! I was saying buy the bird!! 🤗❤️
How cool! Did you get to travel to other hockey towns in the states!? I believe the Cleveland Lumberjacks existed in that time range. 🤔 Nashville was definitely a fun town and there were a lot of places to thrift! They even have Goodwill Bins there! We had to divide our time, but I’d definitely go back just to thrift! I heard you! (And Irf 🤣) I’m happy that I got him too. I’ve nicknamed him “Emerson the Splurge Bird!” 🤣😂🤣
Hello to two of my besties👍❣ WOW! We have always wanted to go to Nashville!🎸 As musicians, we were giggling at the tour bus of Ernest Tub. 🎼The guitars all over the walls, and musicians setting up to in a thrift store to play some honky tonk tunes🎹🤩 The swung vases in a rainbow👏 Holy moly Amy, that gold bird is amazing, and I wish you would have treated yourself to it. I love it! Sending love and peace to you Amy✌ and Irf.
You would love Nashville. There is music in the air, everywhere!! 🎶 I’m glad I gave you a look around in that 1st shop! It was very cool, but the music was so loud, I couldn’t do too much recording. What kind of music do you and your hubby play!? And can you please share his name so I can stop saying hubby? lol I did treat myself to the big beautiful bird, Coleen!! Irf said I would regret walking away from him, and he’s right. I absolutely love him!! And you!! 💕
If only I had kept all the crewel work I did in the 70's! That bus was something else. What a great trip you had. Thank you Amy and Irf for sharing it.
I know!!! Everyone is looking for the old crewel works! I can only imagine where yours have gone and what they could be selling for now! 💕 Thanks for coming along, Jane!! 🤗
Emerson is the bomb! I love when you fall in love with something and it’s unique, fun and worth bringing home. Thanks for showing us the beautiful shops.
Thanks! I love him!! I love that too, but I also love when it happens at a thrift store, or better yet, the bins! Then there is that added layer of excitement about the amazing find and low price! Lol
Thanks!! Definitely worth a visit, Karen! We missed so much in our long weekend. I don’t know if I could do 2 weeks, but I’d definitely go back for another 4-5 days!!
Oh wow! Ernest Tubb brings back good memories. My daddy loved him, so I grew up listening to him. His bus was top of the line for time!! I love the bird!! I am so happy you got him, please show us where you put him. Those were fantastic stops!! Def can tell they were in a tourist town… or even the South. I am finding that antiques stores & even thrift stores are a bit pricey here. Or maybe it’s just me & I am cheap!! 😂 Have a wonderful rest of your weekend! ❤
Wow! I’m glad we stopped there and shared the bus! That was fun! Prices were steep, but those were retail stores. The thrift shops seems more fair. :) You know I feel the same way!! I like to find the treasure but not spend for it. So this bird purchase was a bit “stressful.” Lol I’m glad we got him though I named him: “Emerson the Splurge Bird!” 😂
I love Irf! You are both wonderful weirdos! Obviously, I love you too! 😂 The pheasant is freaking amazing! Treating yourself is not a bad thing. You work so damn hard! Nashville seems cool. I never made it to the States. My one big regret xx
“Wonderful weirdos”… I love that! I feel like we all gravitate to each other! 💕 I rarely treat myself and I did it twice on this trip. Irf talked me into it both times. ♥️ I imagine that the states would be a hard place to decide where to go. When we talk about taking a European trip, we can see that everything is a like a 6 hour train ride away. (London to Paris for example.) If you start at one end of Ohio and drive to the other, that may take 6 hours, and we are the 34th largest out of 50. lol That’s why we have the 5th wheel, so we can travel to other states. Hopefully someday we can take the time to do a cross country trip!! 💕 Lots of love! 😘
13:13 I had a fireplace like the white one you showed in my first apartment, however, mine was orange. I thought it was so cool!! I remember going to the thrift store with the Ernest Tubb bus when I was in Nashville, probably 8 years ago. I loved it there! 🧡
Wow!! An orange one!? I think the one that was in the little cottage we stayed in (Hocking Hills) was orange! Nice!! You got to see that place!? It was epic!!!

Haeger “Lover Statue” by the Frankoma. The swung vases were beautiful but definitely expensive. Nice to have a supportive significant other. Life is short if you love it buy it.
There were other pieces of Haeger there too. I had to edit a lot out to make the video shorter/viewable. You would have loved walking through this place! 😍 Thank you! The bird definitely sparks joy! 🤗
More than fun. Saw too many items to mention. I collected lg. brass items yrs. ago. The top hat w/feathers were amazing on that bird. I couldn't have passed that up either. Love you guys. xo xo & XO for my Brody!! Blessings Always
Amy, I am having a one day vintage/garage sale in September so if you are Irf are in the Grand Rapids area you might want to stop by. Friends and family discount of course. I like Irf’s philosophy and I am glad you listened to him. The bird belongs in your home.
