You should paint your dark paneling. It looks amazing painted white!! My Grandma has paneling in her home. Two years ago I painted it for her and it looks so great :)
I have never seen a flea market with such an abundance of mid-century goodies!! Everywhere you would look I would say… OMG look at that, thats so cool, so cute or I want that!!
The radio was a steal! I have a red one I was given as a child. I love it and still have it. Made in Japan in the 1970s. People collect attention the colours. It reminded me of Zippy on Rainbow which was a UK TV show for children.
That flea market was a sensory intoxication! Oh my word! Yes I had a ball transistor radio back in the day. I actually forgot all about until now. So thank you for that! I’m glad you bought it. Definitely a fair price. Flamingos color/shade of pink is determined by the amount of shrimp they eat🦩🍤😄
I had that little Panasonic radio in white growing up in the 70’s! First time I’ve seen one of those in decades! I’m glad you bought it and hope it works. Maybe you can listen to music on your porch while looking at your flamingos, which you will need to name!😉
Hi Emily, I am so glad you bought that vintage radio. 👏I used to see them at the beach. 😊 I just bought a Fall colored zigzag throw blanket like the one shown in your video at a yard sale! Thanks for taking us along. 😊
The Spam bank is awesome. I LOVE stuff like that! I also have the stack spice jars. I haven't put anything in them yet but love them. Old school Tupperware I love!
Hello Emily. I just found your channel. You Tube recommended. Subscribed! I love those sewing boxes. And the clock. Have a great day. Happy flea marketing🤗
Oh my gosh! I imagine lots of people tell you this, but our tastes are the same! What a fun flea market and what fun to follow along and see you make your new home YOU!
Hi Karla here (not Dave). If your clock doesn’t work you can buy a replacement for the movement at a Michaels and fix it yourself. I have done it many times it’s pretty easy.
We have two of those radios and I honestly had never seen one before(not something I had as a kid). My husband said that when he was younger, him and his friends would hang them from their bikes while riding around, trying to look like the cool kids😂.
The Green Radio was from the mid 1970s!! Had that exact radio!! You sat it table top, the chain was for carying or you could hang it too!! I took mine to the beach with me!! Have never seen one since!! Thank you for sharing!!❤
Just found you here on YT and I'm glad. I have some of the things you thrifted today...the tupperware stackers and the green sewing box. We have Very similar styles! Excited to keep seeing what groovy stuff you score!
Be sure to go to Changing Thymes in Grandville about 35 to 40 miles from Allegan and 1 to 2 miles from Grand Rapids two stores and over 200 dealers. (I'm one of them) we have what you are looking for! Changes daily, I bring stuff in twice a week! We are a destination, as buses stop here with tourists too! Some of our dealers sell in Allehan aldo
I had both the round radio (red) and the plastic sewing basket (large harvest gold & small neon green). I knew you would get the placemats; I am insanely jealous about the Putz church, especially at that price. They are at the top of my wishlist now that I lucked upon two hoards of glass pinecone ornaments ❣️ Great haul, remarkable restraint 😉🧵🪡🏠
Awww that’s too bad! I drive anywhere between an hour to multiple hours from my house to get to flea markets. I hope you can find one in your state/country! ☺️
Pyrex is my weakness. I saw many items in your video that I have, rose tablecloth, pyrex and that red Barbie case! I loved that Tupperware set of spice containers. You did great. I am going to a flea market in Imlay city in a few weeks. I hope it is ad nice as that one you went to.
Such great finds, but my favorite is the Daisy place mats - they're SO cute and here I never find vintage papers to craft with! Subscribing now! Cheers from another youtuber & crafter
I don’t know I’d this has been suggested, but for the wrinkly placemats you can iron them on the coolest setting of your iron (with no steam). I do this a lot with vintage sewing patterns, and it should work on thicker paper! Of course, you do need to be cautious, but it works great to flatten old paper and make it crisp again. Love seeing all your flea market finds! ❤
I dont know how much plywood costs. But would it be an idea to buy plywood panels from floor to ceiling and put them in front of the wooden walls. So you can paint them or wallpaper them and you can hang anything on them what you want. Maybe your dad can help you fixing them, I'd put a 2x2 on the ceiling and mount it on there. Even just as 1 accent wall would make a big difference. Also I would look for mirrors that can reflect the natural light. Love this video i❤
Hi Emily!! I love the Spam bank and the flamingos and the clock!!! I want to go to that flea market so much !!! Thanks for taking us along and showing all the sale items so clearly!! Such fun!!!!😊
Holy cow, that market had TONS of stuff to look at! You must have spent all day there! So fun! I just came back from a road trip to visit the Springfield Ohio and Elkhorn Wisconsin antique markets...yours there in Michigan looked about as big! Do you ever run into EnamorAmie there? (she lives in Michigan).
You found some great things! I actually saw you at the flea market on Sunday, and you were purchasing the flamingos - I could tell you were excited. Great find!
Oh I was really hoping you were going to put up an Allegan market video!! I have been looking forward to going there and was so bummed to be out of town during it. Thank you so much for all of the slow footage of the stalls you visited! I watched it on .75x speed so I could really look at everything haha . I felt like I was there. I love the green radio you got!
That’s a great tip to watch at a slower speed! I tried so hard to to slow but it’s really hard to do that when I’m trying to not annoy the people around me 😂 you’ll have to come next month!!! 😄
Hi Emily! my favorite items you bought were the sewing cases! I love the colors. I would have definitely bought that vintage magazine for 5.00 Great video!! 😊🌸🛍️
Awesome video! Went to a flea market this past weekend for the first time in over a decade. It was hot, dusty, and waaaaay too peopley for this introvert. 😂 Really enjoyed watching you shop though!
Everything is so cute! My favorite is definitely the clock, it's so fun and folksy! The flamingoes would def have come home with me too, especially for that price!
Love seeing the flea market and what you both picked to buy! Hard for me to pick a favorite item. I think the clock is really cute and will go perfect in your new house. Maybe in the kitchen?
So fun to see all the fabulous vintage stuff! I live in So Cal and we rarely come across true vintage here and if so it's very pricey. Love your clock! I'd buy it working or not because it's pretty simple to get a new mechanism to swap it out. I liked the Disney ashtray too!
Oh my gosh, we do not have flea markets like that here in Arizona. Michigan has all the good stuff, the whole Midwest actually. About your clock - if it doesn’t work, you can easily replace the back mechanism with a new one. .
My son had moved out a few years ago and was looking for lighting for his house. We went to an Estate Sale and it was the last day and found a beautiful vintage kind of Moroccan style hanging pendant light it was originally $100 and they gave it to him for $40! It is STUNNING!
I saw lots of things in Flea Market that we don't have here close to Dayton, Ohio. I loved everything you showed us. I love Pyrex, old lamps, old toys, toy sewing machines, oh my goodness!! Can you give dates and address of the Flea Market there? I want to go!
OMG i cant believe how good the flea markets and charity shops are over there? Here in Australia 🦘🦘🦘 there really isnt anything like that esp with all that amazing vintage stuff..I would come out loaded with stuff but im a fan of vintage china and linens
Oh my gosh I wish we had flea markets like this one!!! I would be so in trouble!! OMgeee I used to have that same radio it is called a Panapet....here is the info en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panapet You got some cute things....I wanted so much stuff you filmed at the flea market.....I need a road trip TFS gina
I just found you & I love your videos. Thanks for taking me along at the flea market I looove to thrift. OMG I had that same radio in yellow & I attached it to my Schwinn bike & I rode everywhere with my bike & radio & every time I hear a 70’s song it reminds me of listening to music while riding my bike. Also in the video I had that little A-frame doll house. Also I saw you videoed Barbie cases that’s on my wish list to buy. The radio was a steal! I have a red one I was given as a child. I love it and still have it. Made in Japan in the 1970s. People collect attention the colours. It reminded me of Zippy on Rainbow which was a UK TV show for children.
Omg so cool you still have the SAME ONE!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Stylistically, this made my ❤skip a beat!
Love Allegan Antique Flea Market.
Great video. The music over the flea market section was giving me original Charlie's Angels vibes and my fave find was those placemats 😃💛

Oooooh that throw will be amazing when autumn rolls around 🤩
The hanging radio. I remember those! I really wanted one. My friend had one hanging from her princess canopy bed. Hers was yellow.
I had one of those radios in yellow when I was a kid.
Sis and I had the Panasonic radio in the 70s with a chain. Groovy!
Omg so awesome!!! 🤩
Oh my gosh! I imagine lots of people tell you this, but our tastes are the same! What a fun flea market and what fun to follow along and see you make your new home YOU!
The Ball ‘n Chain radio was just a portable radio. Panasonic made lots of different portable styles. As a kid, I thought they were so cool!
I loved the clock! 🌼💛💛💛🏵
It’s a cutie 😄
The blowmold witch! She was awesome! Loved that radio you got--my sister had a white one when we were growing up.
The witch was $100 and was too high for me but I dream of owning one!!! I’m holding out for one under $50 though 😂
Hi Karla here (not Dave). If your clock doesn’t work you can buy a replacement for the movement at a Michaels and fix it yourself. I have done it many times it’s pretty easy.

Omggg what a great idea to take it to the beach!! Thanks for sharing 😄😄
Man that was a awesome flea market!
You might consider painting the wood paneling light/white. It will definitely lighten the room :)
Just found you here on YT and I'm glad. I have some of the things you thrifted today...the tupperware stackers and the green sewing box. We have Very similar styles! Excited to keep seeing what groovy stuff you score!

You got some awesome treasures! I would have bought the metal dollhouse.
Oh yes those dollhouses are so cute 🥹
I had both the round radio (red) and the plastic sewing basket (large harvest gold & small neon green). You could just replace the back battery pack for that clock if the old one doesn’t work… 🐤💛💚
Awesome video! Went to a flea market this past weekend for the first time in over a decade. It was hot, dusty, and waaaaay too peopley for this introvert. 😂 Really enjoyed watching you shop though!
Uuuugh the other flea market go to is so dusty and crowded. But it’s worth the suffering 😂😂😂
Everything is so cute! My favorite is definitely the clock, it's so fun and folksy! The flamingoes would def have come home with me too, especially for that price!
I’m so glad you can appreciate the flamingos 😂😂😂
If your clock doesn't work you can buy clock kits to replace the motor/battery pack.
Love seeing the flea market and what you both picked to buy! Hard for me to pick a favorite item. I think the clock is really cute and will go perfect in your new house. Maybe in the kitchen?
Yes the kitchen is exactly where I was thinking!! 🥹
I have been following you on IG and I had NO idea you were near Allegan. I’m NE of GR!
Yesss I’m from Holland! 😄 nice to meet a fellow Michigander!

All of the “cool” kids had that radio!😂

Ooooooh what a great idea!!
Great job on your haul, Emily! Can’t wait to get out into flea markets in Michigan! Lots of garage sales downriver. Till next time!💜
Yayyyy hope you can find lots of good stuff here 🥳
Wow! What a wonderful flea market! Is this a once a year market?
Once a month during nice weather
Last Sunday of every month through September ☺️
Are you going to leave the flamingo out in the snow? It would be such great color in the dark months.
I’m not sure I would be worried they might crack. But maybe ☺️
I'm wondering if it's for the shower? My brother had one.
Let me know what item you would have bought at the flea market! 😊
Video would be So much Bett without the music!!!!
Love the tacky pink 🦩 🦩 😂
SAME 🤣🤣🤣
OMG i cant believe how good the flea markets and charity shops are over there? Here in Australia 🦘🦘🦘 there really isnt anything like that esp with all that amazing vintage stuff..I would come out loaded with stuff but im a fan of vintage china and linens
