I am using sk8 850 and 1050 with C180 and C200. And I just buy C141W. Have you tried pairing sk8 with DW tail wing? How do you feel the difference when pairing between DW tail and C tail wing? Which tail wing you like most when pairing with sk8? Thanks
Hello, can you make test eagle vs eagle x . Which will be the best for ,,defi wind,, in terms of combination speed, stability? Or sk8? Thanks in advance.
Hoping you can help. I have an XXS fuse with a chopped 200 carbs tail (non monoblock) and a monoblock XS 160 carve. Chopped 200 definitely still has more surface area than the 160 by alot. What do you think would be the pros/cons of each.? Which should I get more low end lift out of? How will they each pump compared TJ each other? Thanks
Thanks for this, Lachie. Currently riding a sk8 850 with the standard 180 tail as my main setup for all wind conditions. I'm on a Armstrong ML 75L (love it) which allows me to get up in sub 10 kts. I ride 90% flat water and want to increase speed. Would you say the 141w would be my best bet? I'm looking to get a smaller foil for windier days, what do you think - sk8 550, Eagle X? I'm 80kg. Cheers!
Definitely! If you are mostly riding in flat water then you might also like the dw 145. Either one will give you a big speed jump, I’ve found them to have similar speed with dw 145 slightly quicker. Smaller foil choice for windier days - depends on riding style. Eagle X 700 will probably have too much overlap with the sk8 850 as I’ve found the low end of the sk8 range a bit worse than higher aspect foils so I tend to recommend sizing up on the sk8 850. I’d consider the eagle 690 for a middle ground between sk8 and eagle x. It will give you the best of both worlds and lots of speed. Sk8 550 also a great choice, it will give speed and agility but you will have a bigger learning curve due to the higher stall speed. Summary, sk8 550 if you want a challenge with big rewards but may require some time to get used to or eagle 690 if you want a lot of the benefits of a smaller foil without a big time investment
