Zed is a new code editor in the tech market and people are comparing it with the most favorite code editor of developers the visual studio code. Zed has been coded in Rust programming language. Now the question is "Is Zed the VS Code Killer?" Is Zed going to provide efficient way of coding and programming? Is it Zed vs vscode?
Zed is open source, fast and efficient. Some of you might of heard about a code editor "Atom". Atom was created by the founder of Github and basically ZED is from the creators of Atom.
Visual Studio Code is one of the top and most used code editor by programmers and developers. VS Code has a lot of cool features like themes, plugins, integrated terminal and extensions. I have also made a video about VS code tutorial in 3 minutes, You can check that video in my channel as well.
Zed might be a great tool for the web developers in coding fast and efficient.

it's actually nice hearing about zed, so by what time can we expect its windows or linux versions?
They have it on their roadmap to make it available on Linux and Windows, but can't say anything about the time period.

future is indeed bright with all these new options for making software better with ai but the problem with this one is that it's not available for all the platforms which makes it pretty much trash. good luck to the team.

@@aqua-beryas a response to the claims of the video, “just use vim” is absolutely valid. All of this video’s “Zed is faster than _____” somehow left out vim/neovim which probably would beat Zed handily. If you want to pivot and say “preferences” then who cares so much about raw speed in the first place. Come up with a different justification for it.

Hahaha yes you are right, but I wanted to say that the cursor movement does not stutter at all 😅, but who knows maybe one day Zed will take over
