Awesome presentation! I just discovered the Rahway Valley Railroad after running across some abandoned tracks in Roselle Park while on a bike ride. I researched a little online and discovered the RVR! I love the detail you go into in your presentation … it really gave me a sense of a day on the railroad. Thank you very much.
I worked on RVRR and SIRT rehab from 2003-2006. Practically put almost every tie, rail and spike on RVRR and most of the rehab work on SIRT. I remember when #16 and #17 came to Morristown yard in very poor cosmetic shape and later moved to Whippany for repainting. I had good time on both lines and i was the only one that drove Grapple truck on Hi-rail over the river bridge between springfield and union. Was only one because everybody were too scared to cross it with such heavy truck and later plater and spiker machines.
Thank you. I enjoyed this presentation.

I’m gonna watch this whole thing! I’m obsessed over RVRR lol
My dad Ron pietranowitz would love this! He passed but he used to take me into the engine house and gave me a storage key.
I have a bunch of log books and tickets from way back.
We'd be interested to see them!
I wish RVRR was still around. I’m working on reskins for TS2021 for RVRR
I have photos too!
We'd love to see them. There's also a Rahway Valley Railroad Facebook group.
