Lakshmi In The Family: The Women of Markandi

Markandi is one of many fishing villages located along the coast of Odisha, India. While men catch fish and lead the community, it is the village women who are instrumental in each household's stability and well-being.
This project was recorded during the implementation of Project LIFE, a collaboration between VIEWS, an Indian nonprofit organization, and the University of Texas at Austin's chapter of volunteer group Nourish International.
