“If you want more precision…” More precision than 6 microns (0.006mm) 😂. I just love Mazzer, mine arrived this afternoon. I went with black and got both burrs. Now I’m just waiting for my ECM Synchronika II to arrive. I’m concerned that the stainless baseplate that the cup sits on will get scratched. I’m thinking of sticking something to the base of the cup or putting see-through contact on the baseplate. I think I will also leave the retention cleaner outside of the machine because I can see that face plate coming loose over time if it’s being taken off after every clean.
I love the Philos but it's not that quiet. Your microphone is blocking most of the noise. You'll also definitely hear the grinder when only the motor is spinning without grinding anything. I do have to say, I think the grinding noise has a pleasant noise but it's definitely in the decibel range of all other grinders.
Beware of buying via this vendor-I bought a high end consumer machine from them instead of directly from the manufacturer. The manufacturer offers a 2 year warranty, but idrinkcoffee calls the machine "commercial" (despite it being listed on the manufacturer's site as "consumer") and only provided a 1 year warranty. Good looking grinder but I'd only buy it from Mazzer.
@noname77404 it makes all kinds of sense. I've bought a lot of stuff in my life, and I select good stuff and have never had a problem. From cars to watches to coffee gear, etc.
I enjoyed your review thanks. Not sure how the Philos can be described as compact, not in the home setting at least. But anyhow, I'm nit picking. Great video thanks.
I'm using a mazzer jolly that is older than me, doesn't change the fact that they are made by not only humans but Italians at that so you might be getting a lemon if the grinder was built on a Friday or during the summer months😂 Tbh I think a machine like this should come with a lifetime warranty, there's nothing that should be failing for decades to come so why not stand behind that as a company. Also it's a really new product there's always going to be some issues with early production units I've seen some where the front metal plate wasn't properly attached so it just fell off the grinder, not a big deal as long as you get a replacement but you should be getting that replacement even if it's falling off a year from now@@toddpower4674

I think the dosing cup is grounded which reduces static in the cup. Very nice grinder.

Can you cover the compak pk100?

If I thought I would need the warranty, I wouldn't buy it anyway.
You won't need the warranty, plus I drink coffee is excellent.
@@toddpower4674that makes no sense lol
