Spotted my house in one of the clips of Tintagel. Always felt so lucky to have the cliffs on my doorstep but more so than ever now. The sunsets are the most beautiful in Britain no doubt about it 😁

A lovely piece of film with some delightful shots of Cornwall. Loved the upbeat commentary with flashes of a jaunty sense of humour. Many thanks and hope to see you around. All the best and take care - Mike T

Thank you Abbie I enjoyed your walk it brought back lovely memories of visiting Tintagel in 1983 with my Mum when we visited the UK. I remember there were lots of steps! It was the first time we had been back since my family emigrated to Australia in 1965. I really appreciated your message at the end too I have been feeling daunted to take on walks but now I realize i just need to find my own way of getting out in the wild within my own limitations and capacity so thank you.

Me too. I used to walk the coastal path from Boscastle to Tintagel with my parents when I was a boy. I had to be dragged out of the 'Pixie Shop' and away from my fishing rod to do it though!

What a wonderful walk. Lots of contrasts, dramatic castle, cream tea, fantastic views, 97 steps! Rocky Valley, Devon Red cows, sheep and a nice muddy walk to finish with. Sorry your headspace wasn't too good. Positive attitude was obtained from your walk. The film was superb. Your company was great. Thanks for taking me along - I really enjoyed it

Really appreciate you taking us along to Tintagel Castle knowing it is part of King Arthur's history. The architecture very different around slate areas...even when you got to town the walls revealed their slateness. Hoping your well now 🥰

Super video. The one & only time we visited Tintagel was in 1986! 😱 So it was great to see it again.
I’ve been watching back a lot of your older videos and must say the quality of this, visually and the sound, is so good. I really felt like I was there!!
Thank you for your honesty and positivity about dealing with mental health issues, it is much appreciated.

Ah, great to see you down my neck of the woods Abbie! It is, indeed, a beautiful part of the coast. You are right in saying it's a cheek that landowners 'cash in' on local beauty spots, but in the case of St Nectan's Glen, it is definitely worth the cost of entry, as it has a very magical and mystical feel to it and the waterfall itself is stunning! I note with a smile that you willingly paid to see one tourist spot, but baulked at paying for another. I was last in Tintagel before English Heritage built the new bridge and was able to wander around the ruins at my leisure, without cost. A super video Abbie and it's no surprise that the Rocky Valley and river Trevillet lifted your soul and spirit!!

Another good one, Abbie. I also second that final sentiment on being compassionate to ourselves (neither easy or natural, at times). I saw a quote somewhere... 'Talk to yourself as you would talk to someone you love', or something to that effect. All the best for 2020. :-)

Hey Abbie, great video. I heard you say you were having a problem with your foot. I have had that too as have many of my friends. If you will put a broom handle on the floor and push down on it with the arch of your foot it will hurt like hell the first few times and then waalaa it will be better. This has worked great for several of my friends and myself. Give it a try. It is free.

Lovely to see you out and about again Abbie . The coastal scenery looked stunning . You have my sympathies with the plantar fasciitis , I experienced it myself in 2018 , it's really not pleasant when it kicks in , hampering walking enjoyment no end - it does go away though .
I hope you've had a good Christmas and I wish you many joyous adventures ahead in 2020 .

You seriously missed out. Next time walk up Rocky Valley for 10 minutes and you'll come across the ruins of an old mill. That in itself is stunning but there are bronze age carvings in the rockface and the place is a bit of a fairy shrine. I highly recommend it.

Hi Abbie . Went to Tintagel last year and actually stayed in that hotel overlooking the castle. It's actually very interesting inside with a eclectic collection of paintings and furniture. It's quite a beautiful place really and i also found out that it is somehow linked to Scientology and Tom Cruise often stays there. Things the locals tell you when you talk to them 😀❤

Sadly, the new owners of Nectans glen ruined it... it’s a plastic commercial mess these days... and you missed the Bronze Age labyrinth Stone carvings at the old ruined Trethevy mill in rocky valley... ; it’s quite beautiful if you carry on walking to the edge of rocky valley where the ocean comes in...

I WOULD recommend that you buy two trekking poles, and use them. It's so much easier on the feet, to share the load with the arms. I promise you, Abbie: If you try it, you'll never go back.
    What else? Buy some new boots, so that your feet won't get wet;

My you have been local to me, Lydford and Tintagel are two of my favourite walking areas.
It's a real shame about the commercialisation of Cornish culture, the castle and St Nectans are unrecognisable from when I was young, because of this you missed a treat in the waterfall which is a shame. 'Tre ' NO' is how to pronounce Treknow, otherwise pronunciation was pretty good, Trevena is the real name of Tintagel village, the castle and headland being Tintagel :)
