I’ve said this before, but all the imperial moffs really know, is that Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Darth Sidious all walked into one room, and only Luke walked out alive. Of course Gideon would be shitting bricks even after just recognizing his outfit/cloak
Seriously Esposito did such a great job at portraying the emotion Gideon was feeling there, the guy really looked like he was about to shit himself.
If you look at his facial expressions he knew the moment the Dark Troopers stopped beating the door down. He is probably at the very top of the priority kill list.
It's possible they thought he didn't survive the Death Star, so this was Moff Gideon seeing a ghost...a very deadly ghost.
If only they knew how it really went down... If only they'd seen him going.... "FATHER, PLEASE....!"
Ahaha, just messin' I cannot believe how much I cried to a scene from a show before. It's also very telling just how many videos there are online of others crying to the sight of him as well. What a way to absolutely *_punch_* us all in the feels... It transcends many different age groups, it's so incredible... you've got the older generation, that saw the premiere of A New Hope in theaters... you've got their children. Then you've people my age, 29 going on 30... and so on, and so on, all the way down to where I see little kids dressed up as Stormtroopers... as luke, anakin, kylo, boba, at a disney world or something and it's such a crazy feeling to look at them and see yourself in a way.
Sorry, got a bit preachy there, but, yeah. This whole Mando season 2 ending thing has got me all emotional for how powerful a piece of media can be that is so legendary... so famous, that it transcends boundaries of sorts. Things like that are really special.
Technically Vader also walked out alive. I mean maybe not walking but you got it.
In that moment, the world stood still, and an old friend returned in all his glory.

Old Embo defending his farm, General Kota and his militia group, and a Cal cameo would also be dope. They could also bring Umiya back as a new villian with a lightsaber whip and former Emperor's hand. She could fight Leia or Jade.

I can't even explain how it felt to see the REAL Luke Skywalker again after all these years. After the Disney trilogy butchered his character, seeing him restored like this felt like a piece of my childhood coming back to life.

Actually, Luke's characterization in the sequel trilogy was George Lucas's idea, not Disney. (Disney pretty much has no say on how the series plays out. Actually, they don't even make the films or the shows, they just sign the cheques and sell the toys.)
@@ProphetofTables Lucas didn't have any part in the sequels unfortunately, it was Disney's directors who had the say, and they definitely messed up a lot of the good story that Lucas had created prior to Disney's acquisition.

Seeing a demonstration of Luke's power was awesome. Also him going through that hallway ripping through enemies while wearing his cloak gave me a revenge of the sith anakin vibe for some reason.

The look on Luke’s face when he picked up Grogu, like he was seeing a small version of the Jedi Master who trained him. I wanted SO badly to hear a soft, tender version of “Yoda’s Theme” playing while Grogu gazed up at Luke. Please do a version with this!!

Everyone is talking about the feels with Din when he took his helmet off for Grogu but what about when Luke picked up Grogu, looked at him and fought to conceal his emotions seeing a being that resembled his mentor,teacher,and beloved friend Yoda. I was ready to shed a tear for him because he wouldn't allow others to see his reminiscing about the past.
Oh yeah my emotional atention was so focused on Djin and Grogu that i Forgot about Luke. You are absolutely right and giving more thought to it it also symbolizes how the student became the master

Can we just take a moment to appreciate what this show has done for us in 2 seasons? It reintroduced a number of major characters, acted as the pilot to a new era of Star Wars shows, showed us that family is who we choose not who we are given, gave us a new perspective of Star Wars while also maintaining the very core of the franchise itself, and, most importantly in my personal opinion, restored unity and faith in a divided fan base.

I think my favorite part of the Luke scene was how clearly you could see him using Anakin’s lightsaber style from Revenge of the Sith. Truly a Jedi like his father before him.

When Luke takes Grogu and their in the elevator, with the doors about to close, it cuts back to Din and you can see on the close-up, he has tears in his eyes 😭☺️🥺😭☺️🥺😭☺️🥺
I just realized it would have been a hell of a moment if we (audience) also saw din's face first time with grogu.
It would have a lot more emotional value
But this season finale is everything a star wars fan could ask for

@@carterfriske4516 i dont think thats what they are getting at, i think it would mean more if grogu hadnt seen dins face up until this last episode. but instead he saw him at the end of season 1. its not a huge problem or anything just would have really topped off the moment
@@Opachki69420 I don't recall Grogu seeing Din's face until now. The only one who saw it in Season 1 was the assassin droid. At that point in the story, he likely would have preferred to die over removing the helmet if not for the "living thing" loophole.
This needs to be Grogus theme whenever we see an older version of him, a hybrid of Mandalorian, Yoda, and Force themes.
Hopefully the sequels get retconned, otherwise he likely won't live that long.

@@quechus13 Yeah. Lots of people would hate it if they retconned them and it would be so disrespectful to everyone that worked so hard on them. People should just accept they exist and move on. Besides I don’t want to Sequels to be remade they should instead focus on other stuff. More series like the Mandalorian and Anthology films like Rogue One.

Seeing a Jedi and a Mandalorian face to face both caring for the future of a special child was such an epic moment for the star wars story

Realizing that we got to see two of my favorite jedi of all time in one season of a show that isn't even about jedi, just blows my mind. They didn't have to do this for us BUT THEY DID. Thank you Lucasfilm, thank you F&F. Also of course, the music in this show is next level, and Sam did a great job here

This moment will forever be epic in Star Wars history we finally got to see Luke kicking ass! And I will never forget when I started crying when he walked in. Best season of the Mandalorian. Thank you Jon Favreau and Dave.
I love that this season was both an opportunity to see several iconic characters together in a manner which (mostly) makes sense while also successfully splitting them up into different series.
