I really like your vinter socks, the one you made is stunning! Yellow looks so good on you too, it lights up your face! you should definitely knit more yellow pieces!
Your Vinter socks are so beautiful! I'd love to do these in Christmas colors but, truly the way you did them with the color-changing yarn is amazing! As always, your episodes are wonderful and inspiring with all your projects!
The Vinter socks are gorgeous! I’ve never done colour work socks- look like a great project to start with! And really looking forward to seeing how the Pearly cardigan works up!
Your Vinter socks are so beautiful. Will have to add these to my “to make” list and also purchase some of that yarn as it’s shown off really well! Great catch up with your advent projects.
It’s been a really long day. I am very grateful that you posted your vlog today. I needed to hear an accent from home. I just heard some sad news and I needed to just sit and knit and listen you your regular, normal stuff. So thanks, Emily, for being that person for me today. 😢
Hi Emily another great podcast. I love the sweater with the patterned raglan sleeves. Looks spectacular. I've made a Fair Isle pixie hat but I've yet to make colour work socks. The Vinter socks look like a great place to start
Those metal needles sound like Novita's needles 😂 Over the years I have bought all kinds of needles; birch, bamboo, metal, carbon, round and square shaped. I have noticed I need them all. The material and shape of the needle make a big difference when I try to match gauge. I got square shaped needles when I got arthritis. They really made knitting easier when my finger joints were acting up. I am an extremely tight knitter. I hold on to the needles and yarn as if my life depened on them. This makes my hands hurt especially when knitting with thin needles. For new knitters I recommend not to buy a whole set at once before you know what you prefer. High price does not mean that they are the best for all of us and all projects. For all you knitters with finger joint problems I recommend DPNs for socks and sleeves.
I second all of this! I started with a very cheap set of fixed needles from Amazon, and bought other sizes of different brands here and there when I needed another size. Then when I had enough experience to realise what I liked and didn’t like, I was able to choose an interchangeable set I knew I’d like! Different needles work for different people and it’s really good to be able to try different things to work out what works for you!
Hi Emily, i am really enjoying your channel. All of your makes are amazing and you really give me the courage to try new things. The socks are beautiful! Vinter 😊
Your Vinter socks look SO pretty! And I love your advent projects ❤ I didn't get an advent this year because I struggle with using them but I like your plan of choosing a project to make with them and working on it as you open the advent, that's really smart 😍
This was my first year getting an advent, I can completely see what you mean about not knowing what to do with them! I’ve found it’s a very fine line for me between not putting too much pressure on myself to get too much done every day, and still not letting them getting too far behind so it’s overwhelming - we’ll see how that works out! The Vinter socks are great aren’t they, stunning pattern design as always from Hanna ❤️😊
Here in Alberta Canada we are experiencing ‘Vinter’. We have crap loads of snow and it is cold and damp, but it looks very Vinter wonderland pretty. I just took a look through your wishlist. We have a couple of things in common that we want to knit. I can’t think of it until January but I admit I took sometime to go through my stash to look for the yarn to use. 😏
You and I seem to have quite a lot of similar tastes Katherine so I’m not surprised you’ve found some similarities! Let me know when you have some free needles and what you’re planning to knit and I’m sure we can do an informal kal/buddy knit 😊❤️
Loved seeing your gorgeous advent makes, and I've fallen in love with the jumper you were wearing. I've never been brave enough to knit a garment for my plus sized body, just wondering if there's a particular pattern/designer you would recommend for a first timer? It's the same reason why I've never tried colourwork socks, I'm too worried that they won't fit but your Vinter socks make me want to try. Also, the green shawl on the wall behind you during the Aran/DK yarn chat cutaway looked so beautiful! I've come away from your lovely podcast feeling very inspired ❤
I’m so glad to have inspired you! Yes there are a couple of designers I can definitely recommend, Celine Feyten is excellent for beginners and has lots of tips in her patterns for adjusting for different body sizes or types. The Knit Purl Girl is also really good, her patterns really talk you through everything. Jessie Maed Designs is another who’s good for telling you where to put increases etc to be able to fit your body! I’ll have a think of any others I can recommend ❤️
Emily, great podcast as always! As a native German speaker, I can tell you that „Schokoladenseite“ is literally your „chocolate side“: the „good“ side that you would like to show off in photos for instance 😄
I was thinking this morning of knitting another one actually - I’ve had it on all this week, and I love it! I think that might be a very good idea for a January knit a long!
Hi Emily, thanks for showing us your advent projects and your fab vinter socks! I am defined going to do those, may I kindly ask if you are planning to colour match them or do you think they will be ok if we just let the yarn do the talking? Thanks so much, kind regards, Zillah 🙏🥰
I’m planning on just letting the yarn speak, but colour matching has never massively bothered me for socks! Looking at the yarn in the ball that’s left I think they won’t be a million miles away from each other, I do for striped yarn tend to colour match!
I really like your vinter socks, the one you made is stunning! Yellow looks so good on you too, it lights up your face! you should definitely knit more yellow pieces!

Beautiful vinter socks! The yarn is amazing Emily! ❤❤❤
I love catching up with your projects every week! Your vinter socks are stunning

Love your podcasts, Emily. You’re a natural. Beautiful socks. Vinter.
When you show your best side (behave or in a picture), it is your Schokoladenseite.
Love your vinter socks❤
I love the cream with a neon pop for the Pearly cardigan! The Vinter socks are gorgeous too. And the yellow Gaufrette cardi looks fantastic on you!

Oh Linda I’m so sorry and you’re so very welcome. Sending love and I hope you feel a little better soon ❤️
Love the vinter socks and your podcast. Thank you for all the inspiration 😊
Your episodes are lovely and so are your Vinter socks - I love your yarn choices!

I LOVE your version of the Vinter Socks, dear Emily! They are gorgeous! 😍👏
Thank you Hanna! They were gifted to my husband on Christmas Day and he loves them, I think they’re his favourite thing I’ve ever made him 🥰
The vinter socks are stunning! I adore your videos, your knitting is beautiful and you are inspiring to me!
I really like your vinter socks, the one you made is stunning!
Ohhhhhh I do love the Vinter socks. Lovely
Hi Emily, i am really enjoying your channel. All of your makes are amazing and you really give me the courage to try new things. The socks are beautiful! Vinter 😊
Your vinter socks are stunning. I really want to try some colourwork socks and these look perfect.xx
Your Vinter socks are beautiful!! I love the colors you choose.
Those socks are gorgeous 😍 I love the yarn you use. I haven’t tried colorwork sock yet, would love to try with this pattern 😊 vinter

@ I really hope Hanna uses the Vinter colourwork pattern on sweater sleeves at some point because I love it, but I'm not a sock knitter 😅
Oh how stunning that would be!
I love your Vinter socks! Adding them to my knit list immediately.
Hiya, loving the weekly vlogs. I'm dead jealous about your trip to remote Scotland, is there space for a crazy Scouser 😂😂

I have not tried colourwork before, but you have inspired me to try with the gorgeous Vinter socks.
I absolutely love your vinter socks , they are stunning! I plan to knit them.
Fabulous makes as ever. Vinter
Love the Vinter socks!

Love your Vinter sock(s) - I haven't tried colorwork socks - or colorwork anything yet to be honest but I am very tempted to give these a go.
Vinter ❤❤
I love the vinter socks, you're colours are beautiful.
Emily, great podcast as always! As a native German speaker, I can tell you that „Schokoladenseite“ is literally your „chocolate side“: the „good“ side that you would like to show off in photos for instance 😄
One of my friends told me the same! My other half’s translation wasn’t quite there - I really like the true meaning of it! ❤️
Your vintner socks look amazing! I’m working on the Habitation Throw by Helen Stewart with my 10 gram minis
I am very tempted to make a habitation throw with my advent swap I did - that is also 10g minis!
@ I’m really enjoying knitting up the one mini per day
Thank you so much for your kind words about my pattern and podcast xx
All completely honest! I really loved watching and can’t wait for your next one (and all your other designs haha) xx
I really like the sweater you are wearing and if you were to do a knit a long . I would be up for it 🤔
I was thinking this morning of knitting another one actually - I’ve had it on all this week, and I love it! I think that might be a very good idea for a January knit a long!
Vinter 🎄🧑🎄🎄🎄🧶🧶😀🥰

Ps great advent projects and never use those metal screeching needles again, they are painful to my brain 😂
Hahaha I’m sorry!! I realised in hindsight I should have given a warning, they’re not good are they! I think they’ll be going firmly in the bin 🤣
