How about putting the generator in a box with the exhaust routed outside or a small hole for the exhaust? Getting everything warmer so nothing freezes on it.
@@manbuilds1587 I'd say you'll have a hard time overheating that engine at -40 . The box won't insulated either and the engine will suck in air for combustion so there'll be airflow. For safety you could fit a temperature sensor and find out

Great idea! That definetely would work well. Air cooled engine, would need a bit air coming into box & air going out. So as not to over heat it.
