You should be putting the title as "frequently used words". "Frequency" is the number of waves or the vibration and is not the appropriate usage here. Hope you can get yourself corrected.

Yes, frequency can refer to "vibration/waves" as in "Dogs can often hear sounds at higher frequencies than humans" but it's also a "time" word defined as "the rate at which something occurs or is repeated over a particular period of time... " as in, "The frequency of emergency calls increased after the disaster struck." I interpret "Frequency" in this case to indicate, "High Frequency" so "1000 Chinese Frequency Words" works perfectly for me, and "High Frequency Words" making it even more dynamic.
