I completely forgot to mention you should do your Guardian Raids after your Chaos Dungeons every day, my bad there. It's such a given thing, for some reason I ignored even mentioning it. Just a few notes: -If you only do sidequests in Arthetine and you did no red or side quests prior to that you'll get 49.5 level by the time you get to North Bern. Therefore it is recommended to do every red along the way since they only take a half a minute and always in the path to the main story quest. - When you are talking about skill points it would be better if you showed your skills. Many new players that I know didn't even know about they can't get all skills to max and why would you even bother with gathering them. You could've showed that how each skill can be upgraded and changed via the modifiers. - Life skills, would've been nice if you explained why each is important. As in Lumbering and mining will be the priority at first, since every player have to level their island therefore it will be in high demand. Herbalism will be needed later because it is cheaper to make your own potions than to buy them. Hunting and fishing is needed because of their meat, they can be made into foods that provide long lasting effects. I can't remember what archeology did at 3am. Just a comment: If you want to be competitive with these guides you'll need to arrange how you talk about things better since you'll be competing with others like Sywo, zeals , saintone. Best of luck with your channel!
Much appreciated, and you're right about everything you just said. I definitely have a lot of room to improve, and I will keep doing my best and more. Thank you for your good wishes and the extra info!
We will get a completely fresh launch, but not the same patch that KR started with back when the game was released there. We will have a whole lot of quality of life, and maybe other, changes. There will be a january update post soon on the official Lost Ark website, hopefully they will talk a bit about what updates they will include for us.
Thank you! It means a lot. I always put a lot of time and effort into any content I make, but with this one I was even more careful, because the goal is to help new players.
I'm glad you liked it! I'm gonna be honest, I've never leveled a Paladin/Bard before the entire way to 50. Apperently it's not as fast as a DPS class, because some fights take a bit longer, and they also don't have much built in mobility starting out, so they are definitely not on the fast side of things. Still you shouldn't have any problems dealing with anything while leveling, it just takes a tiny bit longer. As for progression, it's pretty much the same as a DPS, you think you would have a harder time doing stuff around the world, but most of the times you do Islands and stuff, you will be way overgeared and you can kill anything. Both support classes can easily do all solo content, and they also have an easier time getting into groups for group content.
Hi! Yes it does if there are a lot of people, even on an SSD. The game runs on DX9 at the moment on the Russian server, but Korea already has DX11 support, which helps with not just the stuttering, but also increases the game's overall performance notably. Apparently we will also have it pretty soon after launch.
I saw a video where the person was saying that we won't have raids for T1 in our release, only Abyssal Dungeons. But in this video you mention Abyssal Raids, care to explain? : )
Yes, a while back the T1 (Mystic) and T2 (Kaiser) were removed frome the game in all 3 current regions for balance issues/their need for an update. Not sure if that means we won't have them either at all, the reason they removed them could be to rework it for western release, but this is just a speculation. Nonetheless I figured it would be worth mentioning, so if they are there, you know you should be doing them.
A question, if you can answer. When is a good time to start creating alts? I understand I need a lvl 50 char first, but when do I stop playing on my main and then invest time in alts?
Of course i can answer! Generally you want to get a character to a point when something stops you from advancing forward, for example an itemlevel requiremet to be able to access the next continent in the story. You can level alts whenever you feel like to be honest, there's no need to hurry, only if you really want to start stacking gold from raids. What I'm gonna do is get my first character to 50 to be able to do my daily/weeklies, maybe get Shushire story done, and level 2 more characters to the same point, so I have 3 characters generating me mats and gold pretty early on, and then I will start working on collectibles and all the other stuff. This I will explain in more detail in my next video this week.
Not exactly, but this is just what the game is. At first it might look overwhelming, but if you give it a try you will slowly learn everything. If you haven't played before I'd recommend just going on your own pace, doing whatever you feel like doing and if you get confused you can look at guides.
Leveling can take a while, especially for the first time. It's not a big deal if you take your time with it, especially because we're getting a fresh launch with only Tier 1 early on. Once you're in the endgame (post level 50), the most important dailies take about 30 mins if you're utilizing bifrost tps and playing smart in general. Thats 30 mins per level 50 character you have. There's a lot of explorational content and some important to get RNG drops from optional daily activities, which you only need to get once on your whole expedition (server). Weekly activities can take a bit more time, but you're free to do them whenever you have the time to do so. In my opinion the game does a good job of keeping you entertained and giving you tools to enjoy your time, so none of this feels like a chore to do, but that's just based on my experience. If you're interested, you will have to see for yourself.
It's hard to say, because in the current servers they have catch up mechanics, which make Tier 1 and Tier 2 progression a joke. Our version on release should not have these mechanics, but they also want us to reach Tier 3 in a reasonable amount of time, so we might have a few changes that make the progression faster, like improved gear enhancing odds. Realistically speaking, I'd say you can get to Tier 2 in a few weeks, but we don't know yet when Tier 2 will be released for us. I don't think they are going to make us wait too long for it.
Haven't confirmed yet, but I see some people saying the same thing, that it works like that, and I also remember it working like that when I started playig. Doesn't mean it's 100% correct, but this is for sure how I will approach it on launch.
If you find the video too fast paced, you can read the whole video script at your own speed here: pastebin.com/NfpTULij Also if you haven't played Lost Ark what so ever, some things will only really make sense once you start playing. Though it seems a bit confusing at first, it's not too complicated at all.
dont be to be mean but it's very hard to understand some words youre saying, for future content, can you add some annotation on screen or make the audio more clear rather than boom-y?
Maybe I need to adjust my mic settings a bit, thanks for the feedback! I also included my own subtitles for the video, that you can turn on at the bottom right corner. That might help understand things better.
Buying potions for using ultimate or increasing skillpoints is never a good idea. You should not bother getting mats for using your skills. Sounds like something that could get overprized really fast. Tripod levels is an issue as well. Same problems with BDO. Reforging with RNG is one of the worst mechanics in an MMO. Also but not that important. They should item squish. It's just ridiculous too see items with stats at 4000+
I agree that it's weird having to buy chaos shards to be able to use your awakening (ult), but you can go to a general merchant once, buy a large amount of chaos shards for silver (100-1000), that you will have a very large amount of, and you won't have to worry about it for weeks or even months. I think the skillpoint system is a good system. It makes you explore the game, gives you a chance at breathing some fresh air from repetitive content, as well as it's something that can only be done by actually playing the game, instead of being able to pay for it. It also gives you some long term goals to work towards. Tripod level transfering and reforging RNG is another topic, it's relevant in most MMOs as far as I know, and I think it's most likely there to increase your playtime, which I don't see any problems with. Playing an MMO is usually a long term time investment, so you want to have things to work towards, the more the better, but that's just my opinion. It would be a lot different, if the game wasn't an MMO, but just some simple ARPG. About item squishing, If they want to avoid eventually filling your screen with numbers, there will have to be some sort of squishing eventually, but in the current state in T3 I find it to be quiet allright. Of course this is a preferential topic, some people like seeing lot's of numbers, some people don't, it's only natural that way.
Yeah I agree, thanks for the feedback! It's something i've been working on for many years and I'm improving little by little. I'm very anxious about my pronunciation and speaking english in general, but I also don't want it to get in the way of my passion.
Now I'm not disagreeing with you, and it's clear he took the feedback well... but you could also take some constructive feedback I hope? When you want people to listen to you, normally you have to use proper grammar. I wouldn't call myself an expert in whatever your first language is, so obviously I have no sway there, but just try to remember that criticism can come across badly in the case that you don't say it properly. I apologize if it came across as rude, I just want people to realize how their words could be misunderstood.
As Narius said. There are better ways of providing constructive criticism. I believe you were a bit rude. You should also check your Grammer as well prior to criticizing someone else. Obviously English is not his first language. I thought he did a great job. My criticism to you Dang. Try not to negatively judge someone right away. You don't know what they have gone through and who they really are.

Literally my favorite thing about this game it’s rewarding no matter what route you take it’s going to be awesome
Just want to say, this is really good guide for Beginners, it covers a lot of stuff, good job.
Nice vid! :)
Can't wait to play!
Thanks :D
I've been playing on the RU client to learn the game some before release. This cleared up a lot. Thanks!
Good job on the guide!
This is gonna be the first mmo i ever played so i hope it's not too hard to understand some of the mechanics
the engravings are making my brain explode
It's just overwhelming because I guess you haven't used them before, but once you get there ingame you'll see that it's actually a very simple system.
Good straightforward stuff. thnx
