Joey and his brother are simply phenomenal. As a guitar player Joey Landreth is really really special, and his slide and picking hybrid style is to die for. Pretty amazing.
Those are DPA 4099 mics on the guitars. Very transparent and clear. I wired mine internally and run it in stereo with a K&K pickup. DPA made the short 'mic to mini phono' cable for me.
