    I got my first pair of winning gloves in February of this year, I paid $310 for a 16oz pair through Winning USA. They really are “no frills” kind of glove. They don’t look particularly flashy, but they are very well made and very comfortable. I agree, you can probably get a glove that will give you protection, quality, and comfort for cheaper. But the Winning Glove is a piece of history and fine example of craftsmanship. There’s a reason there are so many knockoffs. I just use mine for sparring because I want to preserve the padding but they can be used on the bags as well. I also agree, they’re not “pillows.” The padding is soft but protective, but not super fluffy or anything like that. Overall, I am very happy with my pair and I would recommend others who are serious about boxing to get a pair. That being said, Winning should not charge so much for special colors, the price increase just to get a more unique color is crazy! But I guess if you’re Winning and have built that kind of reputation, people will pay it.

      100% agree with all of these. There are not frills or flashy features to these gloves, but they are just made so well and so comfortable. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

    hi, great videos! iam also on my way to get my personal pair, but still confused about the sizing. i am 177cm tall and 80kg in weight, my hand circumference is 21 cm , should i get the 14oz or the 16 oz? i want to get the 14oz but afraid the hand compartment will be too tight with wraps, and i want to get the 16 oz but i am worried about the sizing is being to big and bulky, or is the 16oz is not too bulky? could u give me a size recommendation?

      get 16oz...also some boxing gyms won't allow you with 14oz sparring, I boy fights at 147, walks around at 160 ..uses 16oz winning

    Hi, I’m around 130lbs and do you think gyms will let me spar with 14oz winning gloves?

    • @JordanMilleronyoutube
      @JordanMilleronyoutube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Possibly due to your weight. I’d ask the gym before purchasing though since they’re so expensive

    • @ojnavarro9794
      @ojnavarro9794 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most gyms do I weight 130 lbs and spar with 14oz but for the most part 14oz and 16oz is more common for tiny people like us

    • @TitansQuarterback16
      @TitansQuarterback16 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      14 and 16 are standard. If you can’t spar with that I’d question the integrity of the gym, assuming you won’t get in the ring and get knocked out first round. Most coaches want to save guys from themselves.

    So have you found any gloves that comparable to Rivals in terms of ergonomics? I love the feel of RS1’s but don’t like the the foam , very dense and absorbs a lot with very little pop.

    • @JordanMilleronyoutube
      @JordanMilleronyoutube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s hard to beat ergonomics of Rival. I think Fly Superlace X does a great job with ergonomics. Thumb isn’t my favorite, but it’s ok.

    • @maxrey4055
      @maxrey4055 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JordanMilleronyoutube Yea, I've been thinking about the Superloop but not sure about how that soft foam around the wrist will be enough support. But if the ergonomics are good then it probably won't make much of a difference if its the support is lacking.

      Hi dude. I've got both in 12 oz and have to admit I prefer the Fly (mine are x series as well not leather). It's the fit, Fly are quite unique, the finger and thumb compartments are what make them stand out to me, coupled with the awesome liner. They just feel right when you are wearing them. With regards to the Winnings I found both the finger and thumb compartments to be tight and although I can't deny the quality they just don't fit as nice as the Flys, i'm 168lbs 5'9" BTW. This is my personal opinion, others may prefer the Wining fit but the Fly's just feel right.

      @@boxingislife471 i have flys and thinking about getting the winning. Love the flys for sparring but not so much on thre bag. The fly padding starts to get thinner if say after a while

      @@erickestrada1212 you know what I can imagine that. The padding is quite soft isn’t it. The winnings definitely have a bit more rigid foam that would keep shape for ever just wish I’d have gone for the size up with them being a bit tight.
