Conscious parenting is so FREAKIN important, I am excited for leaders like this to be influencing our next generation. My clients always get to "little boy & girl" issues when trying to solve an "adult" problem & I always wonder what it will be like when more conscious parents are raising kids... :)

Easily one of the best interviews Lewis has done. As someone that has struggled a lot from unconscious parenting I am now integrating these truths into my life and being. Dr Shefali, I applaud you for the wonderful wisdom you are bringing to humanity.

You hit the jackpot by having Dr. Shefali on your show! Nothing but truth was spoken.....gives deeper meaning to the adage "you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free">. Even more a surprise, was watching you react and having your mind and understanding expand right in front of us. Have her back on your show please!

I'm probably listening to this for the 10th time...and everytime it's to retap into my own unconscious, into my unconscious that desires to become conscious, to understand everytime I'm an aspect of consciousness has been essentially conditioned, and to let go of those conditionings.
Thanks Dr. Shefali and Lewis for bringing about this beautiful conversation.😊🙏

"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
    Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable."
    -Kahlil Gibran

I memorised that 33 years ago when my daughter was 2. It says it all, but I wish Dr Shefali had been around then to keep me on track as a parent. Fortunately my daughter has discovered Dr Shefali for herself and is doing her best to be a conscious parent to the 3 little spirits that have come through her :)

Ive actually never wanted kids, but hearing her talk makes me feel so hopeful. I always thought no i don't want kids to mess up and to put so much pressure onto. and im so unprepared and broke and selfish i cant give that to a child. But hearing that I can work on myself to be aware and awoken, then choosing to have a child to help guide and liberate is so beautiful. Im definitely no where near there, not sure if ill ever have kids, but this sounds possible, hard but possible! and letting the world breathe sounds like an amazing solution, for a while at least. 7 billion ppl!!!!

I was a stressed out mom and my kids were too , but when I found this book everything changed DRAMATICALLY!! Dr shefali has made parenting so much easier, lighter and more fun for my husband and me! My daughter, age 9 now talks about her life in 2 parts: her life BEFORE the conscious parent and AFTER the conscious parent. Mind you she was only 4-5 years old when the Changes were made and she remembers it all!! Because of dr shefali, We have never had more connection and enjoyment and lack of stress in our home! We are eternally grateful to the work of Dr shefali!!!!!!

Try to connect. Wake up. Teenage. Bold now. I don't want to anymore. Cut the chord. Parenting is a mask to hid our sufferings. Humility. Complete trust in their destiny. Hard to see them go through pain. Let them go through. Last in race. Don't fix it. You are already complete. Who you are is beyond doing. Don't miss with who they are.

    "Am I feeling whole today?"
"Where are my missing pieces today?"
"Cause whatever is missing within us, within 10 minutes of our child waking up, we are gonna dump it on them."
"Everytime I see something wrong in what my child is doing, it's because I'm feeling wronged in my own life or that I'm not good enough. So when I'm not feeling good enough, I see everything wrong in my child."
"If I'm coming from a superfluous sense of gratitude and wellness, suddenly they can do no wrong. It's all projection."

Whatever I am missing. Going to dump on them. Insecure about ourselves. They reflect. How do we remove ego. Survive to fit in with our parents. False self is ego. Suffacate then. Ego good for survival. Outside view important. Accept ego. Reflection. Question. Train to question themselves. Don't just believe. Pause & Question.

Think there is a mistake at 34:18 cause she said she has been meditating since she was 22!! And said that it was only 5 years ago?! How can that be? When she is clearly 48 years old this year. And had her child in her 30s._. And did this interview just 3 years back? How is that possible? Was she lying? O.o was it a mistake 🤔 and even mentioned that her daughter is 13 in this video! Like whut._. How can it be 5 years ago and at age 22?! Someone from this channel's team please let us know!
