- There were plenty of viable options and more than enough that I could have done three different Top 10 lists, but ultimately here's the choices for my favorite 10 Marvel Legends of 2024.
What were yours?
Good countdown, Jeffrey.!! Kool shirt!! .... Zemo...Gold IronMan, ....Giant-Man-Wasp... were higher on my list...!! But good Countdown...!!

Great video, and solid list Jeffrey! My own Top-1o includes: Angel, Daredevil (Animated 2-pack), Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) w/Bike, Iron Man (Secret Wars), Nightcrawler '97 (w/custom paint), Scarlet Spider (w/custom hoodie), Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, Power Princess, Wasp and Wolverine '97.
Thanks so much. It's wild how many different figures we had, but there were so many awesome figures. What did you do with the paint for Nightcrawler?
@LylesFigureFiles I painted in Shadows based on Alan Davis artwork and was really surprised at how it elevated the face sculpt IMHO.
Incredible video and a fantastic list of top 10 ML's for 2024 Jeffrey. It is extremely difficult for any Marvel fan to argue with your list. Now onto 2025 and lets hope for the Wizard, Trapster, Mandarin, Attuma, Adam Warlock and Banshee. Is that too much to ask for? Thanks for your efforts on this one, I hope you feel better soon.
this year we are for sure getting the banshee and adam warlock!! would love wizard , trapster, attuma and the mandarin!! im gonna add the unicorn to that list and ive always wanted a rick jones hulk and a zzaxx

2024 was IMO the BEST year in Marvel Legends HISTORY!
Btw have you considered customizing Danny Ketch Ghost Rider & making him taller?
I believe it was TH-camr XORPEO who made a how to video..as well as a video showing how to customize both Luke Cage & Cable with Retro Hercules.
Lastly ..i was also a fan of the Baron Zemo Armin Zola 2 Pack.

Ketch's height is fine. It's more that he's too slender. He should be wider and thicker like that Punisher figure.

Fun list and so glad to see someone else have Baron Zemo in their Top 10. I also thought it was a good and slept on release. Wasp, Sabretooth, and Cable were my top three. Taskmaster, Giant Man from 2 Pack, Baron Zemo, Wong, Astonishing Wolverine, Crystar, and Punisher from 2 Pack are the rest of my Top 10. Odin was my top Deluxe and Blackheart for the BAF.
Honorable Mentions: Iron Fist, She Hulk, Vision, Secret Empire Cap, Retro Card Venom, Ghost Rider, Skaar, and Death's Head.
Baron Zemo was awesome! So glad to get him. I still need to build Blackheart. Odin was excellent. I still haven't gotten the Cabal or Wong/Strange or Punisher/Bushwacker set yet. Crystar did just arrive the other day :-)

The Angel easily should make all Marvel legends list for 2024!!

In no order: Cable, Icarus, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Punisher, SW Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Venom, Sabertooth, Taskmaster. Great list Jeff

Definitely agree with all of these but would personally tweak a few things.
I forgive the size of Ketch since he's 17 and essentially a skeleton with flames around him😆. I know Tex didnt draw him that way but...
I personally would put IM mark 9 as my IM on the list, which ive seen on several worst of lists. I actually would have that Nefaria on, or as an honorable mention list as well from that set.
Iron Fist may be my No 1. I know alot of feeds had people complaining about the deep v they wanted, but like you, i was fine with it. Been waiting so long for him in the classic Green and Yellow. And that Luke is soooo good as well.
Repaint that Shulkie! And speaking of, ive joked that I want a minimum 4 repaints of Angel!!!! That suspenders look is a weird need for me!
Titania, Bushwacker, Skaar, Hulkbuster, Zabu, KaZar, Ikarus, Power Princess, Dracula...so many good figures that i really struggle to put a list together.
And cant agree more with you about Dr Druid, as weve talked about a few times! And im tired of yelling into the ether about Melter, Executioner, and so many other Masters of Evil.
But it was a really great year for figures! I hope this coming year is good too! Thanks for always keepin it fun, which this is supposed to be. Have a great year everyone!

Angel has a bunch of figures that require little effort now that they've got this great mold! I really hope we get more Masters in 2025!
Fun list. Bought the She-Hulk after so many people talked her up on one of your shoes. Haven't opened her yet. Have the Angel and the Sabertooth/Wolverine two pack.

Great Top 10 List! Ghost Rider and Phoenix were very solid figures but just missed my Top 10 for 2024 also.

There were so many good Marvel Legends figures this past year and yes, Hasbro is continuing to do some good work. I think some people let "the perfect be the enemy of the good". A lot of these folks I imagine did not grow up in the dark times of toys and so they may have higher expectations. For me, I can appreciate what Hasbro is doing. Would I want MAFEX quality at this price point? Of course, who wouldn't, but that's probably not economically feasible. If it were, someone would be doing it already. For the price point, it's hard for me to complain about what we're getting. Do they miss the mark sometimes?...sure, but who doesn't. When you consider the amount of figures they produce and at the price point they sell them at, overall, I am very happy with my Marvel Legends collection. That's not to say there isn't room for improvement (I'm looking at you wired, soft goods capes). If ultimately they were to split the line into 2, with a sub line of $20 "toys" and $50 line of "premium action figures" I wouldn't be mad. I could spend the extra bucks on the characters I really love and choose the cheaper option for everyone else. It would still come in cheaper than the imports. Anyway, I'm content with Hasbro continuing with Marvel Legends. Now I just need someone to pick up the 6" DC license...
Yes! Vision and Black Panther definitely would have benefitted from those capes. It's funny. I'm working on my McF Top 10. Lots of good options there!

I think that Iron Fist being 'modern' is a bot overblown. It's certainly not the 70s, but he rocked that open outfit in the 90s - take a look at his series 1 trading card.
I'm definitely not gripping about Iron Fist. If that's our one and done updated Iron Fist, I'll be fine with it.
I hear you with the cold. I usually get it the worst form wife and kids and it’s usually on my time off.
I’ve never been a hasbro naysayer…until they kicked my payment back (checked with my bank-no issue) and they cancelled my ecto-1. And they just don’t care. Not happy with them. Especially with my buying history and that it’s their fault.
I’ll be 2nd guessing every purchase for them now.

No sir. They were actually quite smug about it. I took the road of you get more with sugar than spice as my mom thought me. But in the end I had to hang up on them . When he said our fans come first
Solid list 1 and 2 could've easily been swapped around. They really nailed those 2 above the rest.

Much love for your list, Jeffrey. Kudos for mentioning Phoenix's incorrect hairstyle. No other Legends reviewer seems to care about that bit of accuracy, but you're calling Hasbro out on it. I mean, they didn't shirk away from giving She-Hulk the wavier, bulkier hair, so I don't get the Legend team's mindset with that. Just seems boneheaded to me. Legends has no excuse for not getting her hair right. None. If you're going to do a classic version of a hero, GET ALL THE DETAILS RIGHT! Modern, straight hair isn't right at all. That bit of laziness keeps her from being one of the top 3 Legends figures this year. Everything else is great, so she does belong in the top 10.
I love that you chose Angel as your favorite. He's also MY favorite from 2024. We need a classic blue Beast that has that classic head that the gray Beast has! Then I can have a Beast worthy of my classic Avengers display. He'd be right there with my Wonder Man and Ms Marvel (yeah, I didn't say "Warbird!" lol).
Great choices, man! I agree with all your points too. Ka-Zar and Zabu would have come in 2nd on my own favorite list, and Rogue still makes my top 10, even without the other head. Just like her classic look much better than the Dolly Parton speaking, Jim Lee version, personally. I got to know Rogue before her X-MEN days in real-time back in the '80s, so I'm not as enamored with the '90s X-MEN as the majority of Legends fans seem to be. For them, the animated series and the Jim Lee comic books is their idea of what the X-MEN is all about. Fair play to them, but I'm all about the early '80s team, and all ways will be.

Thanks, Loston. Yeah, I don't get why the hairstyles have to be such an issue for them. They don't normally botch it with the male hair sculpts save the AOA Iceman, but it's a little too common with the female figures.

@@LylesFigureFiles Absolutely with you there, Jeffrey! The reason that the X-MEN book jumped up to the top is largely due to the success of the Claremont/Byrne run. Everything built on the success of the introduction of the second team, and it's still the glue that holds the X-MEN universe together even today. Where would the X-MEN be without Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Cyclops, Phoenix, etc? It might still be a comic book, but it would never have gone on to comic book legendary status in the late '80s and '80s without that solid foundation. Legends should consider that more often. Also...when are we gonna get the original '60s X-MEN in their black and yellow? We also need the NEW MUTANTS. I don't care that much about X-FORCE--they get all the attention--but the NEW MUTANTS is long overdue!

I’ve been wanting a modern Luke Cage and this street clothing Luke Cage is great, the same for Iron Fist, and I’m glad they came together in a set.
Yes! I really needed a better modern Cage and pairing him with Iron Fist just made sense.
Great top 10. 2024 is the first time since Toy Biz got the Marvel license, that l have brought the least number of figures. Just 20+, they are mostly the deluxe; Angel, Phoenix, Luke & Iron-Fist, Drax & Moondragon. Odin was the best. 🎉

The hair on Jean does not bother me in the slightest. She's worn the classic green Phoenix costume so often you could pretty much give her any hair style she's had, and it would be comic accurate.
Solid list! I really think Phoenix is a good figure despite my frustration with the hair.
@LylesFigureFiles I bought two of that Phoenix for myself. First time I've done that since the original Plasma Series Egon. I needed two so I could display one with the other Ghostbusters and one to display with Cyclops and Leonardo so I'd have my childhood holy trinity together.
@LylesFigureFiles the Angel would have made my list if it had been Archangel. I prefer Warren as Archangel. As soon as we get an update, my brother is getting my current Archangel.
people are nuts saying hasbro dropped the ball this has been an amazing year for legends!! i cant pick a top ten.... astonishing wolverine needed articulation at the boots, thats what hurt him so much for me, arnim zola coulda used a meaner face on his chest because i dont have the other ones!! LOVE the giant man wasp 2 pack and at the end of the day i didnt mind it not being included with my giant man, just wish theyd given us a couple tiny versions. looking at your avengers pics damn i wish theyd give us a new namor soon with no pins and a photo real face i love reading the old sub mariner comics and our old school version isnt holding up... my top ten would have to have the shield 3 pack and power princess.... and probably kazar and zabu together.. personally i could almost add secret wars iron man, been wanting this rhodes version with skates for so long but the uni beam breaks my heart. deaths head is one that would for sure probably make my list. i nitpick but your whole top ten is great picks for sure!!! and this year has been just a killer year for legends. keep up the good work buddy !! hope your new year is a great one!!

I still need to get Death's Head! I agree with you on classic Namor. He might even need a larger body too. He's ok, but the upgrade with butterfly shoulders would be a nice improvement.

I can't fault you for your choices but I didn't care for the top 2 selections. Angel's wings were too premium to be placed on such a generic blank body. Hasbro could have at least done a variation of the Renew Your Vows Spider-Man torso for Warren Worthington III. Sad Odin was just too expensive with his brick of a body. All of those plastic overlays just limit articulation. Single jointed elbows, no butterfly shoulders and a limited abdominal crunch to go along with a bunch of recycled accessories for $60!!! Odin was more expensive than all of the 2pack releases and he was only half as fun. And to top it off, he was difficult to find at retail stores. Definitely not worthy of a top ten placement.
@demetricsmith471 I have to disagree with about Odin.. there was NO NEED for butterfly joints or any extreme articulation...his character doesn't require the him to have extra agility
Also I was able to pick him up at Amazon for $37 ..a great price regardless
As far as Angel... I believe that the Marvel Legends team explained that to able to install his wings..they couldn't install the butterfly joints that the Vulcan body sculpt usually has
Odin just has to look all-powerful. He's not leading the charges to defend Asgard. That's what Thor is for. Like Robert, I got Odin for a lot cheaper than $70, which is what most folks do with the higher tier ML figures. Wait until they're a cheaper price point. I’m hoping that Hasbro lets the marvel legends, and black series license go. These IP’s are anchors to their company, and has no real fan support to justify keeping these lines in production. The focus of the company should be GIJOE and TRANSFORMERS and licensing out their other IP’s to different companies moving forward. Please Hasbro give all your haters, I mean “fans” what they are asking for and focus on unlicensed in house IP’s that have real fans and support the products.
Check the comments. There's a lot more people praising the work from Marvel Legends this year than complaints against it.
