Why do all combat pieces on this channel sound so generic? It's either loooong introduction then some melody or a equally tempoed thing. When combat starts it is rarely time for any buildup. Don't get me wrong, I am against sudden explosion into generic choirs and drums like Audio Machine, but the start should be sudden, unsure, the mid part should bring intensity and depending on the final resolution, either fade into dark sad vibes or a respite. @Michael
this music is made typically for tabletop roleplaying games, which as fun as combat is in those, it is not very fast paced. For me at least, pieces like this are more preferable than more intense music because I realize that I am listening to dark souls boss music while watching a player figure out if he can walk 30 feet and hit something once. This, to me, is more immersive. I would also argue that it starts off relatively sudden, and has a intense underbeat in the middle so players can still talk over it while feeling its presence. and the ending tone is a final resolution...
Just to add to what's already been said, I'd like to highlight the importance of it being the way it is for tabletop games. When a fight can last for a few hours, you have to have music that will remain roughly even across the whole track, and this song is probably going to be on repeat or paired with a couple other similar songs for a while. So it can't be too dramatic, and it can't have too much change throughout...when it's time for buildup or development or resolution, you change the song.
Love the intensity. Not gonna lie though, might have to use this in every combat session from now on. It's that good. Well done!
😁👍 Good luck to the players. Glad you like it !
This is definitely final boss material, 100% using this in my dnd campaign 🔥👌🏻
Yeah, its time to update and delete my old combat music folders and replace them with this one 😁😁 Fantastic!
Translation of the choir : "you are all tpk, tpk, yes you are! Tpk! Hope! You! Have! Another! Char! Acter! Tpk!"
Ah yes, another amazing piece of music
Good work as always. You should made an extended version of this song ...
Your musics aren't juste for playing. They inspire me so much when i'm preparing sessions °o°
