I actually love the dinosaur look for lizard. I love any Lizard design that looks like a dinosaur/crocodile/Lizard hybrid. The original design of Lizard is goofy and the Amazing Spider-Man movie Lizard is one of the worst designs of Lizard.
This design is a little less frenetic, but still most closely aligns with Bachalo's take on Lizard from the Shed storyline. Connors devolves almost completely and the Lizard that results is way bigger and more ferocious than before. The rigid bends in the tail look exactly like how Bachalo drew him.
Then this figure maaaaay not be the Lizard for you. I hear you, though; I like his art but still can't stand all the extra crap he throws in. Like a piñata exploded in every panel.

The funny thing is collectors of dinosaur figures (of which I'm one) cannot stand that when companies do it to their theropods (meat eaters). As far as the tail goes, you're right. They could've gone the bendy wire route, or they could've taken a page out of Tamashi Nations SH Monsterarts Godzilla figs and have multiple ball joints to simulate natural tail movement.
It's because yes, they had that nasal area, but fossils show the skin did not lay over that area as tightly as seen in models, figures, statues etc. It isn't scientifically accurate. That's one thing collectors of dino figs have over ML collectors; they care about accuracy. Not wanting Thanos to have the Infinity Gauntlet, even though he never had it with that costume, or he's too small even though he's only 6'7, or Rhino and Juggernaut are "just right" even though they're oversized(6'5/6'10 in that costume). It's called "shrink wrapping" because of how tightly the skin is laying over the skull...just like shrink wrap on a piece of meat.
This is my personal ranking 8. Lasher - Really sucks that he's just a repaint, even though it makes sense 7. Spider-Woman - Not my favorite design for Spider-Woman, I do prefer the classic suit as well. 6. Spider-Man Noir - Great figure, great character, but the big head keeps me from ranking it higher. 5. Prowler - Great character, happy to have in my collection, but the double-jointed knees hurt my soul. 4. Spider-Punk - Not too familiar with the character, but still agreat figure. 3. Gwenpool - Ever since her debut, I have been waiting for a Gwenpool figure. This definitely did not disappoint. 2. Lizard - Great sculpt. I personally love the dinosaur design, and the paint apps are pretty good. It's just the tail and the knees that really bother me. 1. Mysterio - This figure is fantastic. It easily beats out the ToyBiz one, and looks great with the other Hasbro Spidey villains, like Kraven, Rhino, Sandman, Venom, Carnage, Beetle, and Lizard. And I love that you can swap the head for the Chameleon head. Overall, a must-have wave.
The head sculpt looks awesome, just wish it had a sculpted backing to it inside the mouth. The tongue is an iconic part of the character, as well as an actual lizard, but it would have been nice if it was removable, for different display options.
Mister Symbiote venom would win. He's stronger and can make razor-sharp objects. Obviously not as good as carnage and he doesn't use them frequently. A good stab and decapitation does the trick

Gonna have to disagree. I hate bendy wire because then they have to use rubber and I hate rubber because it deteriorates. I like the look of this lizard way better than the other two. The other two look awful.
I would agree. The bendy wire figures I had as a kid would have discoloration and start cracking. I like the raptor look. Makes him look for formidable.
Gotta admit, the dinosaur look through me off a bit, but overall it seems like an awesome BAF (except for that tail). I have a feeling Hasbro will try to reuse some of those parts for Sauron and Stegron one of these days, maybe?
Old Lace, maybe. Devil Dinosaur is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than Lizard. An accurate Marvel Legends Devil Dinosaur would be like 20 inches tall, and like 4 feet long.

Of all the Marvel Comics characters, the Lizard is my all time favorite! He is the guy, along with Spiderman, that got me into marvel comics from Spiderman the animated series back in the 90's and I have not been the same ever since!

Nice review. I'm not wild about the Lizard BAF either for all the same reasons you mentioned. My favorite Lizard figure is also the ToyBiz Fearsome Foes fig. My favorite figure from this wave is Mysterio, followed by Prowler, (and the rest I can do without). I really only like the classic stuff, (60's, 70's, 80's and some 90's) so most of these don't really thrill me too much.
Coolest looking figure from this wave has gotta be Spider-Man Noir...just a badass concept and execution of the idea into figure form, and the ability to pull the trench coat off is a plus.
I love how Hasbro gives us this awesome "Dino" head, but gives us shitty Jurassic World figures, like come on Hasbro. But honestly, i love this BAF. Definitely one of my must haves of 2018.
Aside from wishing the tail should've been bendy wired, I also wish it to be much longer and larger. In which you can see at 14:38, that just looks really weak.
I'm okay with lizards knees because with mc farlenes artwork you rarely see him standing up straight because of his hind legs this baf and mysterio are my faves can't wait for my BBTS case to come lol.
I used to have a Lizard figure based on the 90's serie of Spider-Man, for a figure it was one of my favorites, I'll see if this figure is as cool as that one

I like the Lizard because of his dinosaur styled face. It's a realistic biological design, so having it reappear on a creature of the present time gives it a more realistic feel. In life, we have T-rex feet on chickens, Rhinos having horns similar to a Triceratops, Giraffes being tall creatures with long necks like many dinosaur species commonly called 'long necks', and countless other similarities where the design of creatures of today sometimes resemble creatures of old. - I guess this is similar to the Nightcrawler debate. Many people hate on the older Nightcrawler figure because of his large chin; saying it makes him look ugly. That's why I personally love it and haven't replaced it. I like him being ugly and ashamed of his appearance. If he looked sleek and cool, why hide his face with a handy-dandy image inducer?
8. Spider woman- Nice sculpt easy to stand but no accesories and boring 7. Gwenpool- Goofy looking figure but much needed. 6. Prowler- Nice looking figure, great mold and love the colors- No accesories though. 5. Spider Punk- Unique figure with great posing potential. 4. Lasher- A really nice figure even if not accurate. Found this last night and was very happy. 3. Mysterio- A nice figure, keep in mind 4,3,2 spots are very close. Love the accesories and the detail. 2. Number 2 spot goes to Lizard. Mysterio is the best figure in this wave hands down. I had been asking for a mysterio marvel legends figure for years and Hasbro finally delivered.
