I grew up in NY and always had Cheese Doodles. I think that that was the name brand for them. We never called them cheese puffs.
Same. I think it was a specific brand and it's also what I grew up with in New England in the 90s.

I’ve had both kex and Kit Kat and I like Kit Kat the best because it has more chocolate. But kex reminds me of prince polo which is a polish thing that I grew up with in Iceland and they don’t have a vegan version of that so kex is kind of nostalgic to me 😊

It gives peace of mind and clarity. I love to feed them chopped tiny pieces of apple or bread🦆 🕊️🐦 🐇 Iceland sounds nice! I visited South Africa a few Months ago and that's the furthest I've traveled thus far🌍

I just found your channel today and I am loving what I see. The recipes look so so good. I am a ckd patient and I feel I can use a lot of your recipes but watching the sodium at the same time. My only problem is finding all the vegan types of cheeses, but I will use what I can get. I am so anxious to try the recipes.

I love both the cheez doodles and kexchoklad! The chocolate is a bit darker than the original so not the same, but the doodles are spot on! 😋
I know a couple of people who make it a thing to go to Michelin starred restaurants when travelling and, first time I travelled abroad after becoming vegan, I felt like that, only I kept looking for vegan restarants or places with vegan options at least! hahaha That's a big part of what my trips are about nowadays!! I want to try different vegan foods etc, what can I say. That's a super motivator for me to go places when travelling.... hehehe Loved watching your video and looking forward to the Iceland vlog! Norwegian food has changed and globalized so much since I visited as a kid! I couldn't even find marinara sauce at the grocery store when I was there as a teen in the 90s!

I’ve rarely if ever called them cheese puffs - for reference I’m from NJ and now live in nyc. I’ve heard both before though but as a kid everything was doodles!

Which supermarket in Oslo has the best range in vegan options?
I'm not sure about the best but we went to Kiwi and Rema 1000 and both had good stuff. I think we preferred Kiwi. There's also a specialty shop called Røtter that has some options too and our favorite place for vegan Boller and cinnamon buns is Godt Brod. Hope you enjoy! ❤️

This video is super helpful! I’m going to Norway in a couple of weeks and will be staying a few nights in Oslo. I was wondering where to buy a fresh vegan breakfast so I’ll definitely be visiting Godt Brød. I was also curious about Barcode Street Food. Thanks you so much for sharing this!
I've had both Kex and the vegan KitKat and I don't think much of either, to be quite honest... I don't like the kitkat aftertaste and the kex hasn't enough chocolate in my opinion. There's a Brazilian version called Choco Soy Break that's my favourite. And it's sugar free!
Always Cheez Doodles when I was growing up in NJ. I think Cheez Doodles is the brand name, cheese puffs is what they are, so if you were selling knock offs you'd have to call them puffs. Kind of like Kleenex vs tissues.
I ate at Bar Code and had the exact Thai noodle dish! I thought it was excellent and not too spicy. Hope you had a great visit. I'm headed back to the US tomorrow. Good Syttende Mai! I celebrated in Trondheim.
Ahhh, I'm in Canada and want to try the vegan KitKat so badly. Not available yet! Oh well, I'm glad I can get the Cadbury plant bar locally. 😀
Wow! So beautiful there. My mother is Dutch. They too have light well into the evening during the summer. When I was a little girl, I would get so upset when my mom made us go to bed at our normal time. I thought she was making us go to bed early and would protest that it was still light outside.

It is disconcerting when the sun doesn't set if that's what you're used to. I was in Oslo in May as a child with my family and my sisters and I did not want to go to bed while the sun was up! I wish I remembered what food we ate. I love a travel vlog. Looking forward to Iceland!
