Wow this brings back serious memories! I went to the wilds I think 3 or 4 times as a kid and I can’t believe how much of it stayed the same, which is a good thing! I was a part of a lot of the Christian programs growing up including cubbies, awanas, and inside out teens. I had fun with all of them but the Wilds was the most fun I had with any, minus the way up the mountain, as it always got me feeling ill lol. Going up the stairs several times a day for either bible study or lunch, tubing in the creek, learning to hike, learning to fire a rifle for the first time, going to check out the old cabins at night, seeing the waterfalls and learning to rock climb and just so much more. The preaching at night was always so great I remember a couple snippets of the messages it was a long time ago haha. What a nostalgia trip you gave me man I hope you and your family had an amazing time. One day I want to go back myself but I’m not sure what they offer for adult couples there I’ll have to look into it. Oh and the play at the end I cannot BELIEVE they still have the same play with the “threw him out the window” guy. Who knew someone so innocent could be so guilty lol. Sorry for the long comment that is all over the place but watching this just brought about a flood of memories, including some of the best times of my life. I even still have pictures and a dvd or cd of some of the experiences there. My grandma sent me there several times at my request, and I’m glad to see the only summer camp I ever wanted to go to is still alive and well. Thanks for the upload. God bless you and your family.

Thank you for your kind word! The Wilds is a special place. I wanted to show what life is like for the campers. I figured it would help anyone who was unsure about going. I wanted people to see the spirit of the camp. God has blessed the Wilds.

Such a blessing for me to see the Wilds grow through the years I've gone to the Wilds since late 80s all the way through early 2000 married with five boys that my wife and I have adopted and I really look forward to taking my family for there first time they also have a volunteer work week that I've been with my family growing up several different times that is also a blessing

Bro, you are a fundamental Baptist and have just now been to the Wild's!?! I actually have never been there as a camper or counselor, but I have for conferences, services, and for the fun time. It is a great place and thank God for how He has used it in the lives of countless teenagers!

The Wilds is great. Driving the 12 hours was so worth it now that I am a fully certified Fundamentalist! My teens really loved it.

I went there when I was a teenager around 1990 or 1991 they didn't have the activities they do know but it was fun there I got to meet new kids from other places my youth group and I came there from Atlanta Georgia, and I discovered today that it is in Brevard, North Carolina and that's my fiancee Kellie's hometown very ironic so I was there near my future wife.

You were worried because “the super slide went right past the path?!...to the boys cabin area”??? Can you possibly explain your logic behind this? No disrespect just genuinely wondering where your thinking is on that?🤷🏼‍♂️

The super slide goes through the path to the boys cabin area. One false step and you could really wipe out.
