I've been listening to this song over and over again so here is my theory of what happened: There is this girl named lola and her partner, Tony. The two of them worked in a bar at copacabana, Tony was a bartender, and Lola is a showgirl, with yellow feathers in her hair, and a dress cut down there. Tony always kept watched for Lola as she dances and etc, while he was working. Then one day, while they were working a guy named Rico (Rico is spanish for rich), walked inside the bar, he wore a diamond (possibly a diamond ring), the workers escorted him to his chair and he saw Lola, and lets just say that he has a "fancy" for Lola. After Lola was done, Rico called her over, when Lola went over to Rico lets just say he made Lola uncomfortable (Like flirting with her or talking to her inappropriate way, and touching her hands and etc). Tony saw Lola getting uncomfortable and ran towards them, before punching Rico, eventually they both had a fight, "and then the punches flew, the chairs were smashed in two". i have two theories for this part, first theory is that "Lola picked up a gun and accidentally shot tony instead of Rico" and the second theory is that "Rico pulled out his gun and shot tony". then after the fight, tony died. A few years later Lola is 50-60 years old? ( since im guessing she was probably in her twenties when this happened), The bar turned into a club, "but not for Lola" she's still in the dress she used to wear, and she had faded feathers in her hair, she sits there, drinking a lot of alcohol, she was depressed since she lost her youth, she lost her tony and she was slowly getting insane, she drinks herself half blind, to attempt to su*c*de.
