हमारे मुंबई मे पुराणी साडी से stainless steel के बर्तन बनाते है. जो ladies साडी से बर्तन बनाते है उनको बोवारणी करके पुकारते है. जीतनी भारी साडी उतना भारी बर्तन.
I have asked my tailor many times about these kind of stitching but every time he asks a very huge amount. It's like we can buy a new dress in that stiching price.
Mam idea ache h, but tailor se gown, lahnga, coat vagera stich karanevaale k liy kahe to wo stiching rate itna jyada batate h ki us se bhi kam rate m new dress market m available hote h.

Why reuse them ? There are so many women who don't have one or torn up give them away to someone away besides today's generation simply are disinterested on wearing yours unlike us we we'd wear my aunt's .dadi lovely old ones

As you said I love wearing sarees, I used to live in India in my young days and went to collage wearing sarees.. I left india when I was 19 and settled in Uk . My love for sarees has grown so much.
